    Hey guys,

sometimes I really cant understand google. I was in the sandbox a many times. Mostly after only a few (10-15) blog comments.

I have an 2 year old domain and trying to rank for an keyword that gets only ~4000 exact search matches a month.

The bullshit is, I have a few authority links to that page of my domain and I also got some forum content links, created by people that liked my page. Then I also got some web2.0 links and so on. I´m trying really hard and am still at #5 now.

On #3 spot is telecom with really good quality backlinks.

And then that guy on #1... I checked his links, he has not only 1 good backlink to his page. He has about ~1200 backlinks from blog comments. Most of them are on pages with hundreds of spammed blog comments. Also there are so many chinese websites with blog comments. He even got comments on pages full with viagra and sex pills links... Seems like he blasted with SB directly to his website...

And it seems like google is just loving it! That is really insane! So much spam and then on #1...

I do 10 manual good blog comments and get sandboxed (with other domains). WTF is wrong with google? seriously?

They talk about quality and so on and then accept such dumb ass backlinking...

EDIT: I´m making good money with that page becaus I rank good for some different search phrases. So the guy on #1 has the keyword together in his title. Me not.

    For example (bad example):

    He has "iphone smartphone"
I have "iphone prepaid - great smartphone"

But I want to rank for "iphone smartphone"

Should I change the title to "iphone smartphone"? I´m scared because I dont want to loose my other #1 positions for that page...

Or do you think, I can pass him with good links and without changing the title?

Yes such weird results keep popping up from time to time. But at the end of the day Google algorithm is just that- an algorithm coded by humans and as such there are bound to be some exceptions. Google's algo is not 100% accurate, it is more like 90%+ which is pretty good imo.
