If he's using your brand name inside his ads - you an fill out an adwords form and get it pulled down.

If he's NOT using any of your brand terms insie his ads - you can't do anything, but buy adwords as well, get better quality score than him for your brand name, and appear on top of him.

    Good luck

You can't do anything unless he is using a registered trademark in his address text. If he is using your brand as a keyword, that's conquest bidding and is totally acceptable. The only thing you can do is beat his ads.

Ver normal and has been seen many times before. You may just wait and see if he take down the ads because he may not make any money out of it.

Unless the business brand has a trademark he can even use it in his ad copy

Luckily, i have very poor results for targeting other people brand name or companies. I doubt if that will be profitable for him at all.

The reason for poor results bidding on other brands is because the searcher is already sold on that brand. It is very difficult if not impossible to change their mind. Therefore, the ad is paid little attention and gets low QS thus increasing costs and sales are low since the brand is not mentioned, all of which makes for high CPA.

    But that's not the point.

The point is to protect one's brand. I certainly don't want Lucid Web Marketing to show in competitor ads which could damage my brand. It's like having bad reviews. I want to control my brand. Doesn't matter if it ends up not being profitable for the competitor. The real damage can be to the brand.

well it can certainly be profitable. While QS may be lower and CPC higher, people searching for a brand are likely looking as they know they want a product and ready to buy, so good chance to get in front of them. All depends on verticals, CPC etc

You have to understand consumer buying psychology too. You need to know when he is searching for a particular brand name it means that
    a) He has clearly made mind to buy the product

So chances comes to very very low that he will be even interested in checking your offer at all.

So i will have to disagree.

This is is new strategy even announced my many experts. You can win the game when you make bid on competitor's brand name. Google can't take any action if you are not a registered brand. You can do to run ads on your own brand name (use your brand name as keywords). Make better bid and ad copies to rank higher than your competitors. PM me if you are looking for exact and better solution. Thanks

What kind of new strategy it is? and i'm talking about sales/conversions and leads not about clicks.
