    Hey guys,

I know there must be some basic solution to this but I am really at a loss. I have tried notepad++, winmerge, diff , and all those programs, plus a lot of fruitless searching on Google.

Basically, I have a list of keywords that I need to compare to another list. By compare I mean, all the keywords in that list to be removed from the other list. Pretty much what scrapebox does when you 'select URLs to compare' but for keywords, not URLs.

    Can anyone please help me?

I use Editpad Pro Extras->Compare Files will do what you want and a lot more. I think the trial version may do it but I'm not sure.

Robert, absolute legend. This is what BHW is all about. When I search the entire internet for an answer when I know there must be a simple answer somewhere, I come on here and it never fails me, yes there are lots of noobs asking why their scrapebox blast hasn't got them any links yet, but there are also some really intelligent and knowledgeable people here. Thankyou.

if i can understand you well, you basically want to remove the duplicates, is that right?

if it is what you want then you need to make one from the two lists and you can easily remove the duplicates with Notepad++

    howto:
    1. open Notepad++ and copy-paste the two lists into one new document, make sure you have only 1 keyword in every line
    2. hit ctrl+a to select the whole document
    3. navigate to TextFX/TextFX Tools and make sure that the following parameter is checked: "+Sort outputs only UNIQUE (at column) lines", then hit "Sort lines case sensitive (at column)" or "Sort lines case insensitive (at column)"

that's all, your list will be alphabetically ordered w/o the duplicates, so you'll be left with unique keywords
