I have been promoted to lead in our SEO department and long story short, my company wants me to get adword / analytic certified in about a month. I have been doing SEO for a couple years now and have dabbled in adwords for some clients but nothing crazy.

Any tips, tricks, books, other reading material? I know they have the resource center, and have been reading that. My company is willing to pay for the books and anything else I need to pass so our company can get the cert.

Are these tests actually that hard? Any one else taking these that can give me some pointers? :D

    Thanks in Advance!

I've taken them plenty of times, Google has test guides up, don't assume you know the content the tests are indeed hard and to get certified you need an 80% on two or more tests.

Edit: Also for a company to be certified and listed in the database rather than just be an individual certified there are a ton of extra requirements, including at least 2 certified employees, a written case study, minimum adwords spend and a trip to a Google partners thing. Make sure your company knows that if only you get certified that doesn't mean they are.

Thanks for the reply. I have indeed heard it is quite hard. One of our employees has taken it twice when I first started and didn't pass both times, but she isnt the most brightest crayon in the book when it comes to SEO/SEM.

Ya they are definitely aware of the requirements. They have changed the requirements and now only require:

To become a Google Certified Partner in the Google AdWords Certification Program, a company must:

Have managed at least a US $10,000 spend over 90 days (to be counted from the day the AdWords account is linked to the MCC). The MCC account linked to the company must have spend on 60 days out of a 90-day period.

Have at least one individually qualified employee

    Note our terms and conditions

The individual requirements to not require and spending limit as they used to prior as well.

Any study guides / books / practice test anyone can recommend would be greatly appreciated.
