So I was doing some BH over a year ago and making some nice change on the side. I had 2 websites.

Work became a priority and I forgot about the BH methods.

Now I come to start up the BH again and I find some random company has registered my web addresses!

After a whois.net search I've found out they're some kind of reseller called Mind Genies or M.G. INFOCOM PVT. LTD. DBA MINDGENIES

Anyone ever heard of them? How can I get those web addresses back??????

I've dropped them a line but heard nothing so far

They, may have backorder your domain to sell it back to you for profit.Try to contact them buy email or phone, but don't show much interest about your domain, this may rise the price.Just make them a simple question,is this domain xxx for sale?If yes,how much?
    and wait.

If they're a reseller company then pretty much you're screwed unless you want to pay a premium price to get it back. Most of the domains I've ever requested info on from places like that they want ridiculous prices for.

Send the a request as suggested above, but in my experience no matter how nonchalant you make the request sound, if you've asked for it they know you want it.

This is why it's a good idea to go ahead an register your domains even if you think your done with the website. Unless it's just some crappy name that doesn't matter or you have so many that it's not practical to pay for them all even if not using them. For 2 or 3 websites though its worth paying the $20-30 a year to keep them registered. If for nothing else than maybe sometday you could sell them at a premium price yourself.

Unfortunaley, I think you'll probably end up having to consider this a lesson learned.

If you let it drop, it's no longer your address... You can get it back by paying big bucks but other than that you're SOL.

These resellers, how do they actually make money?

Because if the website address was worth it I would have registered it again, so as it's not I obviously don't care about it and not willing to pay anything more slightly above average.

Where is the value in buying shitty websites?

They buy domains and wait for people to come in trap... They usually check domains if any domain is doing good then given chance they will buy it in hope that you might want it back... In that case they will ask for some shitty price... Not every one comes back for their domain but some do and that kind of price make sure they cover their loss and make profit for their whole portfolio... LOL i mean buy 10 domain and then atleast sell 1 domain at price of 15 domain and cover loss and make profit...

Let it go for now, pick it up next year if you really need it. No need to feed domain trolls.
