    Hey all,

Was bored this evening so decided to do some keyword digging and found a 4 word phrase that gets 6.6k UK searches a month and should be easily monetized on Amazon.

What do you think of the following KW analysis image...? Cheers

Thanks for the reply -- only thing is that the first placement is Amazon and it actually DOES have the Kw in title and description regardless of what Traffic Travis says :) (checked manually).

If you reach 2nd place behind Amazon, consider it first place. With the kind of money Amazon is burning in ads, you'll never outrank them ;)

It's not the money they are spending on ads that gives them prime positions for so many keywords, it's the authority and backlinks they've ganered over years of existence.

And beating or outranking Amazon is not unfeasible. I've done it and I can still do it again. In fact, my latest niche site is competing against some ecommerce sites ranking in the top 10 including Amazon.

I am nowhere near as experienced as the guys above so take their words before mine, but from what I can see, every one of those sites you will be competing against is a big site. They all have over 1 million backlinks to their site, so they will be passing strength to the individual page with their site authority, even if they don't have H1 tags, or the KW in the title and description.

Yes the actual page you will be competing against looks quite open, but there are no other niche sites in the top 10.

If you have a decent PBN or are going to purchase some strong links, then you should be ok. But then you could say that about most long tail keywords. If you plan to rank this with links from new web 2.0s, pdf sites, and social bookmarks, I think you will struggle to break the top 10.

I have learned a lot from the guys who have posted above, and I am very grateful to them for their contributions, but I do often wonder if what they consider to be "easy", and what I consider to be "easy" are very different things.

I think when people make threads like this, it would be helpful if they gave some indication of their resources (have X amount to spend on links, own a strong PBN, going to use certain tools, etc.)

I would be really interested to hear from the experienced members above how difficult they think this keyword would be to rank if the OP had no real budget for links or a PBN, and no hard-core seo tools; and just planned on building all the web 2.0s and linking sites manually.

To the OP - I wish you every success with this, and hope you update the thread with your progress with this KW (even if you don't make a journey thread). I have subscribed. Hope to hear good results from you.

Thank you DJW for your reply, and you're right, I should outline my resources I have.

Ok here goes, I have UD, GSA, Scrapebox and Wicked Article Creator -- now, I will NOT be using these as I do not have patience for building my own linking campaign (cannot stand spinning articles, setting up campaigns, etc...).

BUT, what I do have is capital.

I had planned to do the following when ranking this site:

    - Initially, write 10x HIGH quality articles reviewing the various products in this niche.
    - Wait a few months and see if the site ranks even in Top 100 for the KW.
    - Buy a high quality multi-link package with Web 2.0s, Social Shares, EDU/GOV, etc... ONLY targeting generic anchors and raw URLs (avoid the Penguin!).
    - Purchase 20-40 HIGH Private Network Blog Posts targeting the main KW and some long tails.

I would spend about $300-$400 on link building if I see potential in ranking this site (e.g. if it ranks top 100 without any links).

NOTE: I already have site set up and main article written (700+ words).

    How does the above sound?
