So I've been commenting on my own blogs with relevant info, but I was just wondering what you guys think about putting large numbers of comments in a day (within an hour even) vs putting a few spread out each day.

I'm sure spread out over the day seems more natural but not sure if anyone has tested this before?!

    Jesse,

    Are you manually doing it?

I made a post a few days ago trying to find a way to automate it, but never got an answer...

    Thanks

Yeah I'm doing it myself. No need to automate since I want the comments to be relevant & not too many :p

its not obvious since the option of the plug in has a proxy switcher where you can put as many as you want and it can also generate an email so i guess if you are gong to schedule the commenting per day i don't think it will be pretty obvious to gog;le

You won't get penalized for this, especially if the content you're adding is unique (Google will love it). Think of all the big name blogs that get 1000's of comments a day; they'd be screwed. :p

I usually use a proxy browser to put in a comment or two after I make a post, just to get the conversation rolling. People tend to comment when the first comment is already made. I don't plan to post hundreds like you intend to. If you are doing that, just use proxies to be safe....

From what I see, only the site owner has access to the commetor's ip and email. How would google know the ip and email of the commentor if that's private information that's only accessed in the admin panel of wordpress....

Why worry about doing it yourself. Turn off the Wordpress spam guards and let the crappy spam comments come through into your moderation folder.

Then you can just quick edit the names and comments, remove the urls and have a unique comment with a unique IP address for you to approve to your blog.

How could you get penalized for this or even look spammy? Most blogs have manual approved comments which means all the comments get posted at the same time when they get approved.

I believe wordpress records the time the comment is submitted.

Google doesn't know who is commenting on your blog. For all they know, it's Jennifer Lopez. Seriously, I wouldn't worry about it at all. Go ahead and comment on your own blogs all you want; no need to use a proxy or anything either. Trust me on this one haha :)

Commenting on a blog is not a big deal either you have done a lots of comments or you have done little bit daily, the only thing is that it should have quality and unique.
