I'd be interested to hear what you guys have had more success with.

Sinking your whole budget into one 'expensive' SEO service (the type found on this forum ranging from around $100-$600), or using 2 or 3 cheaper services that total the same amount? (assuming you use quality services).

My thinking is that perhaps it's better to go with several because the variation might leave less of a footprint and provide a more diverse link structure. On the other hand, if you find one really good service then it could be better to put more money into that rather than diversify. What do you think?

For the record, I've only ever used one service. As my site is earning more I'm pondering whether to put more money into the service that has served me well already, or to diversify. Also, sorry if this is the wrong forum, I couldn't decide where this post should go!

Price is not necessarily indicative of results. You can close the poll now, that's all you need to know. :p

    ^this.

I can sell you an xrumer blast for $100 that I bought on fiverr, a higher price does not mean it is better.

I, on average, purchase anywhere between 4-12 different services, ranging from $60, to $600. Normally space them out over several months, and target only 2-3 main keywords, and the rest generics.

I should have clarified I guess. By 'expensive', all I mean really is the standard sort of services that range from around $100 - $400 a month.

The reason I made the distinction was because I notice there are other services that aren't as comprehensive and more like $10-$50, the type not generally considered to be a complete service, usually just targeting one area such as social or high pr backlinks, edu backlinks etc. Hope that makes sense...

I know expensive doesn't necessarily mean good which is why I put 'assuming decent quality'.

There isn't an answer for this as it depends on the service. Some offer complete link building campaigns, others offer certain links.

The main thing is to build a diverse link profile that is backed up with lots of lower tiered links and to ensure all of the link are indexed. How you achieve this doesn't really matter.

I don't buy them because they're available. I know what type of links I want, and then I go find a supplier/provider.

You should not buy seo services until you have your own plan....SEO services are ment to automate your link building..You should have your own seo plan tailered for your site..Once you have plan, then just go out and buy services you wanted.

People buy expensive services without understanding SEO ..there are so many metrics at play when it comes to ranking a site..No one plan fits for all...

Buying multiple services without knowing how they will interact can result in de-indexing of your site... Buying just because they sound good or have good reviews does not mean the services are compatible.

You can certainly mix services, but you really need to know what you're doing first. Also your idea of expensive is well... I guess it's in the eye of the beholder, cause your expensive is my cheap, not to be an ass, just being dead serious.
