College... No Financial Aid, No Help?

Hello folks. I'll try to keep this short: I'm 19, going on 20, and haven't lived at home since the day I turned 18. My parents are crazy in the sense that they actually have psychological issues, and recent events in the family have caused even more problems. Basically, I'm trying to stay in school while working and everything, but it's very expensive. With my mom going into bankruptcy, I actually would get a lot in grants from the government (I have already filed a FAFSA using her 1040 information), but they require something called "verification" at my school, which basically means I need to send in a second copy to confirm the information. In short, my mom refuses to do this because of all of the recent drama (which I know nothing about), so basically I can get literally no financial aid this semester. (And of course no help from anyone else.)

I'm not posting this to be some beggar or anything, but I need advice. I'm not sure how to handle myself, or what to do with my life. I'd like to go to college, and it's within my means to some extent, but I can't afford it without loans. The jobs around here pay about $6 an hour after taxes are taken out, so the numbers just don't add up... and I can't get loans (or my damn grants!) without my mother sending in her information.

I know a lot of people here at BHW would tell me to put black hat stuff to use, but I really haven't made much headway with making a ton of money. I've made some, but the $6-per-hour is more effective for me, even though it's still not enough to support myself and go to school.

I know a lot of people don't even get the chance to go to college in their lives, and a lot of people have to deal with much worse situations, but I'd still like to try to remedy it.

What do you guys think I should do? I wish I didn't have to use their financial information for this. :(

Keep the $6-per-hour and make a few extra bucks in the internet...

there is alot of things that you can get up to 20$ a day investing 1-2hours of your time...
It's not much, but it can help, and you can always setup niche blogs, and earn a passive income every month.

There is always a way to make some extra money in the internet, sell your services, write texts, create a blog, make online sells, write an ebook, create sales pages for stupid products LOL, get jobs that you can't do, and hire freelancers for better prices.

Sell yourself on Ebay, try to find a better job, invest any extra money that you have, make a plan, be realistic, and DO IT!

:( One of the worst problem of all, is have everything, and do nothing

Btw, Good luck, I have a fucked up family myself :p

Thanks for the advice. Part of the problem is that college is so damn expensive... seriously--$8,000 total cost per semester in some cases. It's hard to come up with that plus living expenses, even with making a few bucks here and there. Sheesh.

Here is where your probably going to get pissed at the financial aid system. Until your 23, married, have a kid, or some special circumstance (which you may try to see if you can meet the guidelines for the last one) not only do they goes based upon parents income as you know they add yours in as well, which Im sure you know. The part you probably don't know is until you hit the 23 mark, they think that you should be able to spend 50% of what you make on school cost. So keep that in mind while your trying to make money.

Best suggestion I can give you. Get married. Im not joking. I have a friend that comes from a very wealthy family and he wanted to go to a certain school. Family didn't want him too and he couldn't qualify you fin aid. Him and a friend got married got all the fin aid for school then they got an annulment. Just find a good friend and get hitched.

Another thing, if you can find someone, a person can gift a person up to $11,000 ( I believe the amount has gone up) a year as a tax deduction for them and the person receiving the gift does not have to claim it on their taxes.

So it's U$1400 Month for college, let's say U$1500 for expenses

7Hours Job per day at U$6 hour = U$42 day
20 days = U$840
24 days = U$1008

And this represent's less then 50% of what you "need"

So your options are:
1- Get a better job
2- Get another good source of income
3- Find a way to need less money
4- Do all the options above

Course, it's easy to say, but sometimes you need to try it for good.

:ridinghor I m here if you need someone to accpt a gift :eyebrows:

talk to the agencies and organizations that you would be giving you the grants and see if you can work out another way. I'm sure you are not the first person who has been in your situation.

Also try talking to your mom. I obviously know nothing of your problems but hopefully you can work something out

Best of luck!

Get $50 and http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/buy-sell-trade/203470-blackhat-wordpress-v2-automated-100-day-sites-5-minutes.html Off you go mate.

All the best.

Thank you for the tip. I'll read into the thread, I guess, but it seems a little pitch-y... I don't want to be sold on something that won't help me in a serious pinch :(

Hey, your story is just like mine, just that you seem much more hardworking than me so you have a huge advantage.
What you should do(and everyone, including me, should do), and it's not easy, is:
1. Calculate your time and develop a schedule
2. Make some fast money in order to invest in different things.
I used to make money by taking WoW vids off metacaffe, finding a guide on how to level up on clickbank and promoting it in my vids descriptions. About 6 vids would bring in 19-40 bucks a week.(till they got deleted) But that was back when youtube weren't annoying.
3. Work on your projects. If you keep at it money will come.

4.Don't suffer from Imkt-ADHD, which is something I suffered from that makes you read tons of books just cuz they have catchy titles like "Make $5 000/day", all you'll be left with is fluff. Focus on action.

Anyway, I ended up living back with my abusive parents and with 2 broken teeth that I don't have money to fix(decent dentists are expensive in my country) just cuz I am too lazy .You're not like that and if you keep to the schedule you create you'll avoid it.
Good luck!

Personally, college is BS. Don't take that the wrong way or anything.

I dropped out of university (we call it university in the UK) during my second year. My grades were on top form, but there was nothing there for me. I was studying Software Engineering.

Since dropping out I made nearly $100k with some BH methods in less than a year. I then invested that $100k in some real learning and was coached by John Carlton. I learnt so much about writing copy.

I've got 3 products set for release. Everything including the web design, web development and copy was done by myself. All the marketing will be done by myself. I'm set to make a lot of money.

Now, I know the above means nothing to you. But what I am trying to say is you learn and bank so much more than any college degree can give you.

John Carlton told me some of the big money copyrighters he knows left school before they had chance to get their grades. He also told me he, and his fellow friends, including Gary Halbert would never employ a graduate because you have to "unteach" them everything they know.

The people that teach you in college go from textbooks (at least the majority do) and in house research. The people in the industries with vast experience, that are actually doing, and not just talking, are the people you want to follow.

Your on BHW because you want to make money online. Go with that, and make something out of it.

It's not all about BH all the time, and there is lots of money to be made on the Internet with White Hat methods, and when I say lots I am talking millions per year. Blackhat will give you the income to invest in Whitehat.

Just offering a little bit of advice.

I don't think that's suitable for everyone...
I never liked the idea of college or university, here in my country this is a Big Deal, and you can't get a job without one, at least not one that pays more then 300U$/month (LOL)

But even with college, your options are pretty limited to get a job, and work your way up...

Since I hated that way, I started to work online, and make a few small business, today I have my own apartment, car, passive income and lot's of free time with only 18.

But you see, I already had my idea to how I was going to live, I didn't wanna to depend of some company or other people to get my things...

Some people already have in mind that they need to finish college, get a good job, and live like this.

If you really want to make some quick cash, outsource and surround yourself with capable people. What made me quite a bit of money in college, and still does to this day:

1. Locate a progressive photography student (male, and preferably one with a MarkV because of the impeccable video quality).
2. Write up a professional 1-page email regarding the need for nude, solo models (guys/girls).
3. FB the shit out of girls/guys. The guys must be hot. The girls can be 6-7's.
4. Shoot 5 wardrobe changes, 155 pics per wardrobe change. Progress from fully-clothed to fully-nude. Rinse, wash, repeat. Change your location w/ each new wardrobe change. After all photo sets, shoot 2-3 15-minute vids of the same shit.
5. Pay the model $300-400 for 4 hours of shoot time. Pay them nicely, they come back, and they bring friends.
6. PM me and I will tell you how to locate buyers for the content, and how to sell it.

You can easily sell the complete content package for $800-1100+ to regular everyday buyers. Score a fantastic photog, and you can pull major weight! i.e. - $3k per package. You can usually find a photog to shoot 4 hours for $100-200, less if they get excited when you first tell them what you want them to do. if they get all happy-faced on you, "I'll give you $100." Shoot 3 times a week, pay your bills. Shoot 5 times per week, pay off your debt. Find the ONE model who has the looks/sexuality for their own site. Locate a student web-designer, split website proceeds 70/30 w/ your designer. Give the model her/his hourly rate ONLY. You can find a worthy contract for free online if you just look for it. Make sure you are 2257 compliant (iam2257). Just google it.

Same thing I did in college, and made paper for hanging around nude chicks all damn day. You MUST be professional about it. Try to fuck her, she'll split. Treat her like a model, she tells her friends and they call YOU for work. I still operate the same way I did back in college. Same principles still apply. Only thing that has changed is the quality of student-based work you can get all around you. Lot less expensive now, quality of work is superb, and the tech is superior.

If you don't mind working with the same sex, straight guys' content sells much more easily, and for more money.

Solo shoots only. No sex. You managing the direction of the shoot, your photog, and the model. Be on the lookout for an emo MUA (make-up artist) that's looking to build her portfolio. When the model is fully-clothed, the MUA can use those shots for her book. Pay her nothing because she is getting free portfolio work. And I find that emo girls are way easier to convince than prissy bitches.

You can easily bank $1k/week working 8 hours/week once you get a few shoots under your belt. Working full-time with all the college talent you have around you, pull several thousand per week and pay for college yourself. Walk away with your education, start your new life debt-free, and have savings in the bank to get you started wherever your degree may take you.

Worked for me. And still does.

Make an appt with the financial aid officer at your school and tell them the situation with verification. They have the ability to make changes so you don't need your mom's info at all. You must have a pretty big sob story and if they deny you, you can't appeal to anyone.

I'm being honest here - you should write an ebook about how to start in the porn industry. Just write that in big font and fill out 20 pages lol.

mapleleafz - Appreciate the kind regards. I've been profiting from the adult industry since 1998. Quite a few changes since then, but the insatiable demand has only increased. I've produced (brokered is a better word) everything from gangbang videos to solo model websites. The buying power of today's market is overwhelming. Obviously, the above format leaves out quite a bit of pertinent details. But as most people know, the game is to be sold, not told. But I was in a similar situation back in college. No money, and the jobs that were available would have never provided for the type of lifestyle I wanted (Cadillacs and coke parties). Every damn day I fell in love with another hot chick I walked by. Thought, "How can I get them naked and in front of me?" Never looked back once I found the solution. It's a rough business. But lucrative out the ass. You can sell a membership site with 3-months of content (10 shoots), and 3 additional months in the can, in upwards of $65k. All bankrolled from the solo shoots I described above.

I've considered writing an ebook. But figured, "Who the hell would buy it?" So I just keep shooting content, looking for new models, and counting that paper.

College helps, but it's no guarantee you will find a good job after you graduate. Or any job that you want for that matter.

Save yourself a ton of money and go to a community college for your first two years, then transfer to the school you want.

Otherwise, you could always try and produce the documentation that you need by your own means. It is your education, your life.

Thanks for the input. My problem is that I'm toward the end of a CC career, and I have no clue how to afford a 4-year Uni without loans/grants, which I can't get on behalf of my parents' trouble.
