I've always looked at online marketing as a long term game. So I never really dabbled in short term sites. I prefer to build communities and useful sites with unique content that add value to Google and give a good user experience. For some of us, starting again isn't an option as we have already put in years of work into these sites. So how can we repair the damage of the recent updates? I think even as blackhatters we certainly need to begin taking Google's guidelines more seriously. Huge scrapebox blasts which create 3,000 new links and then huge drops as the blogs go offline is going to cause a drop in rankings. Keyword stuffing and other over optimisation will cause drops inr ankings. But again, assuming we get all that right from this point onwards, how can we turn around a website which previously had over optimisation and an unnatural backlink profile into a well ranked high quality website? What do you guys believe would be a good strategy to become "trusted" again?
