So I've just hired some cold callers, but I got them faster than I expected, because the project I'm promoting won't be done for a few more weeks.
I want to test their skills before I put them on the real project, and make a few bucks at the same time, what do you guys think I should promote to businesses? SEO? Web design (wordpress)?

Interested to hear a few opinions

You can push sites out the door if you do em for really cheap. But dealing with clients changes and reviews might be a bit of a hassle - but it is money that can be made. Can even offer them a dirt cheap site for $99 plus hosting of $19.95 per month (you can buy one of those re-seller hosting accounts to make it really cheap and set yourself up for long term on going revenue).

I would probably warm them up with websites as selling SEO is a little harder I think. If someone doesn't have a website, then they either want one, don't want one, or are considering it. With SEO, they first have to have a site - then they have to really know the importance of it and if it is worth investing so much more into it - then you tell them how much it costs per month and that it isn't a 'one month thing' and basically - I think SEO is a bit harder to sell (my opinion).

For now, I'd say go for the website selling and see how you go with it. Make sure they don't have an accent, if they do - fire them now! (No racism... just how it is)

How is the directory site going? You using a WP theme or getting some custom one made?

I am getting a high quality directory theme made. Im going to sell a few copies to the public to cover cost. There's a lot of features and a lot I will be adding so it's easily $xxxx to start.

I'm just going to be honest with you. Unless you have a proven structure for your cold calling, doing it successfully is next to impossible.

Yeah....... I'm not quitting. Instead of trying out methods, you want me to read like the rest of the noobs, give me a break. Taking action is one of the best things you can do if its not going to cost a lot. I may be new to cold calling, but I'm certainly not new to making money.

I would love to know more as to how this works out. I would assume that you have a nice website to promote the web design services.

Have you thought about promoting Hosting/Web Design services...basically you charge for web design and they get free hosting or vice versa...

Anyways, let me know how this ends up working because I was thinking about doing the same in the near future. I am not very familiar with the Cold-Calling business but I am not new to making money and this def sounds like it will make money.

Maybe we can talk ? I have an unlimited text messaging system, where businesses can sign-up and build their customer list through mobile marketing. This could even become an addon business you offer, with your main business venture. We can work out an affiliate comission, where its worth your while...
