From your experience and since most EMD names are available for this extension and the price now is affordable, do you think they worth the time and effort to rank ? Especially for MNS.
    Answers from your experience please!

Personally I have had good experiences with ranking .co domains. But I think TLD doesnt matter much.

TLD doesn't matter for SEO, but for brand recognition it does.

Well, my only concern is the EMD bonus, i was asking if those domains get that EMD benefit.

Nah... There might be a slight bonus but to be honest I really doubt you will have a huge advantage by using a EMD, especially for competitive keywords.

Think the top 3, .com, .net & .org still may obtain better rankings...plus if your domain is used by people that will type it in their browser, those 3 are the most widely used and know on the internet.

My question has always been the huge price differences.... (ie. those .99ยข or less .info's) cannot be the same as a .com!

But I havent used any .co yet...

where are they available for $9.99 a year? Just looked at a couple of UK registrars and they are still 18.99 GBP a year, so $9.99 would be great

There is no EMD bonus with .co. For me .co's have been worse than .info, in fact I had some what I thought were prime names and just let them expire because they ranked so sucky. It almost seems like Google still considers them only good for ranking in Columbia with Columbian content.

    Beware:
    1st year=10
    2d year=30

    Go for .mobi at 6.99
    and build for mobiles,
    this is the future trend.

.mobi as the future trend? I bloody hope not.

I figure we'll see country codes become regular. We have .co.uk so why not .co.us?

I love the idea of a premium, expensive a$$, international, free from the crap .com/.net are bogged down with TLD for your business where you pay an arm and a leg for YOUR name.

Frankly, considering there are so many unscrupulous domainers, increasing the barrier of entry into that industry would be lovely. Don't give me crap about not being able to afford Diamonds.expensiveTLD if you have no intention of doing anything with the name yourself.

I'll stop this before it becomes a rant on squatters....
