I think its worth it because .co can be a type for a .com. I just picked up stevepavlina.co going build it up soon then flippa it. Lol

They are supposed to be the new top level truely global domains.

Its too early to tell if they will be worthwhile, but I think that yes they probably will be (as long as Google support them which it looks like they will).

    Its too early to tell.

But for global SEO if they do what they are meant to do, then yes they will become the best.

A good indication that these arent another .Me or .Biz is that Google, Apple, Yahoo etc have all gone for .Co url's themselves (though they aren't active yet for obvious reasons).

I was thinking about .co's today

It may be worth buying a few for say non commercial keywords that get a lot of views and decent adsense clicks. You need phrases where the top 10 sites are internal pages on big sites. ie not optimised.

This works well with medical conditions eg randomdiseasesymptoms.co

nichehorde can find loads of these type of keywords but usually all the good domains are gone.

obviously then just stick up a short adsense site based around main keyword and a few related then see what happens.

A lot of people are saying it's the next big thing. But the truth is no one knows. Only time will tell. I think .co will do better than .cm because its more obviously the domain for a company... like .co.uk. And mambo you make a good point there. It's easier to compete against a page with a whole website, rather than website vs. website. I bought one .co, because if google ends up liking .co then that site will be enough work for me for a long time. investmentadvice.co 201k exact global searches, 12k us only, but the majority of searchers are new zealand and australia, which is just as good.

I think they will be, better suited for companys obviously, not personal stuff. I really don't think it's one of those extensions you buy for shitty little sites, it's for serious business owners.

when people were saying .me would be big, cmon we all knew that wasnt going anywhere, .me??? sure if your making a personal blog about yourself, otherwise it was obvious that wasn't going anywhere.

This one actually looks promising. But like someone else said, I doubt it will take over the .com craze
