Anyone here that has experience in working on any type of clothing brand, specially in the supplying/designing end, if so i'm currently looking to build a project of building a streetwear brand, starting off in the uk and branching out but looking to network with others that have had or are keen to have some experience in this time of business. If so message me or just reply on here and i will pm you.

I'm not worried about the marketing side, i've got that area on lockdown, just the building of the brand/designing+ finding suppliers who can do what i have in mind.

Had experience in the past. We imported everything from India and done the printing here in the UK.

We started out with a plotter and heat press and started to vinyl print everything using profits from the sales to pump into screen printing equipment and a few weekends testing on bed sheets (massive sheets to reprint over and over in different sections before trying on a t-shirt!) It worked out cheaper to start on single station setups to get used to the printing process and then moved up to 12 stations over 18 months.

I found if we did our own printing we could save money in the long run, produce shorter runs of a printed run and keep a larger stock of blanks.

Not to mention the quality control was MUCH higher - t-shirts with prints I've bought directly from a supplier I still have now as cleaning rags. Not only that but as we had the printing set up we printed our own boxes and postage material.

Learn't a fair bit about printing, in the end, we started to offer bespoke printing but I found the money was in doing screen exposures and selling that service for people who didn't have the equipment/setup to do it!
