    im looking to clone an existing site that I don't own. Can anyone suggest the best way to do this at all?

    ^ yea, use httrak, it's a great tool but of course will only give you html, css, images etc.
    if it's a complex site and you want to clone the functionality then you need to hire someone to replicate the site for you I guess.

    I'd recommend to steer clear away from anything other than HTTtrack. It's been around for a very long time and has a great reputation for it's ability to rip a variety of HTML websites.

    Although, I'm there there are many other great website rippers out there. I guess it's about choice and preference.
