I think cloaking is one of the most dangerous black hat methods, because search engines know about it and try to crack down on it. Plus, there's no subjectivity once you're caught by a search engine doing it.

That is why you cloak on a throw away domain names. If they ban that domain big deal just buy another one. Not quite sure what you mean about "internet forums", I think your asking if they have webmaster tools which allow you to tell if someone if cloaking and the answer is yes.

Some will say it is dangerous because you can lose your domains.

Other will tell you that it is dangerous to spend all of your time building legit sites, just to lose your rank in a shuffle.

It really depends on your personal view and approach.

As has been said above, it is not illegal by any means. Not even sure that it is questionable from an ethics view. If you banned, so what. Start again.

Cloaking is like MLM, building your business on a high turn over. It works, but it takes work and it is for a fast easy buck. Only if you are creative will you survive the long haul.

Check out IP Delivery as a starting point if your seriously looking into it.

Cloaking? I prefer redirecting. I've never had the problem when using another IP for either google or yahoo. But if you do want to mask your real IP then just do it cheaply and create redirects :)

Usually sites get banned for cloaking plus other stuff. Just cover your tracks well.

its like it doesnt really matter if ur banned... u can start again easily but if u r paranoid about not getting banned then use fantomaster. thats the most expensive cloaking software out there but its also the best.
