    Has anyone had success using the recommended code that clickbank provides for cloaking hop links (from their site):

    "The secret is to send the customer to a url of your own that quietly redirects them through the correct hoplink. We recommend using the html below. Don't forget to replace each occurrence of AFFILIATE and PUBLISHER with the correct value!
    HopLink Cloaker HTML:
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Loading page...</title>
    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2;URL=http://AFFILIATE.PUBLISHER.hop.clickbank.net">
    <script>
    url='http://AFFILIATE.PUBLISHER.hop.clickbank.net';
    if(document.images) { top.location.replace(url); }
    else { top.location.href=url; }
    </script>
    </head>
    <body>Loading
    <a href=http://AFFILIATE.PUBLISHER.hop.clickbank.net>page</a>...
    </body>
    </html> "

    Does this method work for both Firefox and IE? I'm assuming that "url" above refers to the merchant's actual landing page. Is this correct?

    Finally, what is the significance of "Loading Page" and "Loading"?

    Thanks in advance!

    It works, just like pretty much every other cloaker out there.

    The Loading Page and Loading is just text for the surfer to see while the page is blank.

    There are lots of cloaking scripts that are easier to use. I personally don't like re-directing like this because there isn't a counter, and it's more time consuming to set up a page like this than it is to just enter the information into a cloaking script. You could put one in but it's easier to use a cloaking script that gives you the count.

    I've seen a couple of cloakers shared here. Here is a link to one. I've never used it so I don't know how good it is:

    But this would not remove the hop=xxxx from the URL, isn't it? Does anyone have any script which would remove the hop=xxxx...

    Assume PHP is the best way to go right now, unless you're using domain redirects from cpanel.

    this is what clickbank is saying is ok...

    lf you want to track where sale are coming from replace all with

    h77p://yourid.publisher.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=TRACKID

    this is to help to hide its an affilate link untill after they click

    Hi puppetmaster

    Use the one above recommended by Moneymaker, it works well.

    Like what he said, just stick the code in a folder, replace the xxxxxx with your ids, ie your hop link, merchant hoplink and your tracking id. Then rename the file as index.php........make sure its index.php not index.html

    Yeah you are ready to go.....
