i've made a website to a client and now he asks me if i can help him find keywords for his website to optimize it. i can find the keywords, but don't know how much to charge for let's say 100 keywords with searches between 10k and 100k and competition up to 100k exact match.

any ideas how to do the math here ?

Who's the client? Someone from an IM forum? Small business? Large business? That usually decides my pricing for me.

I generally work out how long it will take me and apply an hourly rate. If it involves high skill then maybe more.

If I were you and dealing with a small business I would charge at least $500 for that research...
