My client built his local busines site through wix.com himself and it looks surprisingly nice, however the modification possibilities regarding SEO are a joke on wix.com. I found on freelancer a few offers from sellers with good reviews to convert a wix.com template into a WP theme for around 250$.

However, I am not sure whether it would be better to setup a whole new WP Premium theme like Avada myself, since these themes are often optimized for SEO purposes. The downside would be, that some of the current design will get lost.

If it was me, I would try and find a theme that will look simpler to the wix one he currently has or you can just find a really good theme that will suit him and say would you be interested in a theme design like this instead? Might save you a lot of time and will look like your going out your way to create him a better design then he already has, just my 2 cents anyway :)

Since he already build a brand with his local service, of course it would be the best to keep the current site design. Like I said, I would not have convert it myself but outsource it for something like 250$ which he will pay of course.

I dont have any experiences with converted themes though. Is there a disadvantage regarding SEO compared to Premium WP Themes?

    Is it flash or html5?
They lock down their code tight (flash I know).
    Everything is on their servers.
    Good luck!
