Man, this is weird, In my years of doing IM I haven't seen this issue before. Wondering if maybe anyone has ran into this.

Say monday, I'll get a healthy CTR and good clicks. The next day BAM! Zero clicks, then maybe the next day I'll get healthy ctr again, then BAM.

Its like every 2 days or so, I get zero clicks or 1 click On other days, I'll get 5-10 clicks..

Weird that its bouncing so much, again, I haven't seen this. Any ideas on why or what this means, about the market? Its home and garden type stuff. Its really frustrating making $6.00 a day then zero. Because I'm the kind of IM guy that will get 1 site making $5.00 consistent and move on, and build 25 of em.

Actually 2 sites of mine are doing this. Maybe just the nature of the niche? Information vs buying days... idk..

EDIT: Traffic is steady and the same...

I'll say the fluctuations are there because you still haven't gained a critical mass of viewers yet. I think you'll have greater accuracy looking at weekly or monthly stats. Besides, you have to account for many external factors that affect internet usage like public holidays and weekends.

Assuming your traffic is mostly from SE's, I'd say it's perfectly normal.

Google certainly swaps Dbases in/out all the time.

your visitor count seems pretty low to begin with so the fact that you make a few bucks a day seems ok to me even if it's intermittently.

sounds like you got a lock on some profitable keywords or word. Keep adding content you could probably do real good with that site.

Yeah, thats kinda a strategy from the old BH days. Pretty much carpet bomb the place and use the statistics to find the popular pages, then expand on those, getting all natural traffic... Once there are CLEAR patterns, then start backlink/promo campaign on those...

More work, but by the end of it, you really end up with an "authority" type site...

Today is a good day lol $6.00 :)

While yesterday was $.56 Just never seen a niche jump like that every other day lol... oh well, I shouldn't be watching this stuff yet, and just be turning out good content...

With adsense you need to watch the advertisers. Some are less than scrupulous. for example I run a travel site that gets lots of traffic and I found the days that the kayak.com flash widget displayed on my site I would get terrible click through rate. Banned them and everything was great. I got an email from the head of marketing at kayak asking why? I told him what happened and he said he didn't understand why and could I try again.

Anyway after putting them back it happened again, not sure what is happening but I am assuming the flash banners aren't registering clicks properly. I know I use flash banners to do a little sneaky advertising myself. So I know you can add code to make things seem normal but really underneath it isn't.

I wouldn't have thought a big company like kayak would do something like that but who knows.

Anyway keep an eye on the advertisers if you see one that keeps cming back when you are getting bad CTR. just add the url to Competitive Ad Filter
