Do you guys also do this or its only me?
Whenever I visit a blog or website with useful information...I usually click the ads (adsense) 2-3 times just as the way to say thank you to the blog owner and put cash in his pockets :)

I do it all the time. Sometimes I run a auto-clicker with rotated proxies. Great way to destroy competition.

EDIT: Negged to -4? Serious? Come on people

    (I was kidding..)

I am doing it sometimes, specially when I found what I'm looking for at his/her website. I don't even know the owner of that site and sometimes I found it buried in SEPRs pages 3 to 5, not even the #1 spot.

But, just doing it once and never again, for the publisher's safety.

Yeah i do that too.. Especially if they are offering a useful service for free.. It is my way of giving back, since they rely on those ads for site income and keeping it up.

it is not a good way to say thank you if you do it too often maybe his account will get banned. only click on ads if they really grab your attention and you are interested in the topic.

It would reek havok on peoples split testing. However I'm sure it pays off in that way if your in the SEO niche. Although adsense would notice you to have a bad conversion rate for that niche and may geuss as to why.

Ehh, I only click on ads if I'm interested, really. Usually if I really enjoy a service I find some other way to thank (usually mentioning them on Twitter).

It always amazes me how the best of intentions can trigger the worst of disasters.

If you want to favour those websites put a link to them from that of yours (provided that you're not on porn/online casino/pennis enlargement niche :)).

Please do not visit any of my sites if you are going to click as a thank you.

I appreciate your intentions... I really do but that can end badly for the site owner.

If you want a list of my sites not to visit PM accelerator_dd.

    Thanks!

I click ads only if am really interested in the actual offer. But I am kinda blind to all kinds of google adsense and I click probably once or twice a year. :) I take notice only on the ad placement and style to see if someone made better job than me.

how does it turn out bad for the site owner? bad conversion rates resulting in his ad network suspending him?

There is only one website which I click on ads to show my support. That's facebook. I look for ads of big corporations, such as banks, and click on them. screw banks and their pathetic interest rates :D

Imagine a situation where on 1 single day, a blog gets 100 visitors to a helpful topic! Out of those 100... let's say around 25 people(like you Guys) decide to donate by clicking ads.. if each ad pays around $0.10(which is pretty low ;)) then how much did the owner pull in one day? ;)

I see light at the end of the adsense tunnel :D
