I made some videos to promote Clickbank products in YouTube.

But my question is, can I directly link to my aff-link? Or should I make a subdomain, which Java-Script redirects to the offer?

So wouldn't Clickbank see, that the visitor comes from YouTube? Or is that unnecessary?

    Just some simple questions :)

You can't redirect to the seller's checkout page with clickbank. If you host your domain at hostgator, just use their redirect function.
I know click2sell.eu allows you to create your own landing page that directly links to the seller's checkout page though.

You can redirect to the checkout page directly, I do it.

Here's a quick blurb on how to do it:

    Code:

But i dont think clickbank merchants really care where the traffic is from since they need to pay anyway if they want something :)

no conversion, no cost for merchant :p

So shouldn't I blank the visitor with Double Meta Refresh? Then a simple subdomain without redirection would be enough.. ?!

And first I don't want to create my own landing page, but later it would be helpfull to raise the conversation rate.

This page is from 2007. Nowadays clickbank checkout pages don't use the same syntax anymore. They used the cgi syntax (as explained in the blurb), whereas now they use a ssl syntax.

If there is a way, I'm sure I'm not the only one interested in knowing it.
Would be cool if you'd care to show it to us with an example.

Clickbank usually doesn't give a shit.....

I've never had any problem with them, I've never even gotten asked where my traffic's coming from.... and i use CL ad, to blogger (redirected to sales page)....

    ?! that's just me!

Yeah, redirecting to sales page is great once you find your niche and write articles and so forth. But straight to checkout, thus bypassing the original sales letter? I just would like to see it. It would be a big plus for a lot of people.

You could always stuff the cookie using a regular frame and hoplink so long as the merchant is not using a save-a-sale script. Then write your own sales copy. At that point you can then do 1.AUTHORID.pay.clickbank.net

Normally i just bounce off one of my domains to the sales page at it works out fine. I've been doing it for years.

I'll quickly share with you what I do.

    1) Link in YouTube video and description
    2) Link to my domain with a landing page (you can by an .info cheap)
    3) Have them subscribe to you (why reinvent the wheel?)
    4) Then redirect them to your affiliate site

Step #3 is very important. Too many waste thousands of dollars trying to reinvent the wheel each time. Meaning they go out and hunt for new prospects. This is why brick and mortar struggle every month to survive.

Capture their names and email addresses and then send them other offers. I have one site that is dedicated to photoshop. I offer a free video tutorial on photo editing with photoshop. People visit my site, subscribe to my list for the free video, confirm and are redirected to the affiliate link the minute they click SUBMIT.

Then every few days I send them info on Photoshop. Sometimes it's on free videos that I found that show something they would be interested in. Sometimes an affiliate link. By providing them with free videos this enhances the value of the recommendations for my affiliate links.

    Simple process with good returns....

You're missing some prerequisites for 3.

2.1) Go and subscribe to your merchant's email list
2.2) Save your merchant's newsletters and make them YOUR newsletters
2.3) Once your merchant moves from promoting his own product to other affiliate products, do the same, but with your own AFF links.

You're correct this would be a good idea, however....

I find that most of the material the CB sellers have is either not very well done or overly hyped. I prefer to provide my subscribers with an honest review of whatever I'm promoting. Sometimes I'll even create a "quick and dirty" video to show them how it works or what they'll get. This is less "salesy" and coverts a lot higher than simply using the CB seller's material.

Mostly because I've taken the time to build a relationship with my subscribers (although it's really via auto responder) and have built some trust. The Q&D videos add authenticity to the product I'm promoting. This is what drives higher conversion rates.

Everyone has something that works for them. This works for me... :)

You have some good points there. It really does depend on the quality of the newsletters.

As far as video marketing, I have a home theater projector so I stand up in front of the site I am critiquing and talk about the sales page and scroll through it. I think it will be more effective than a screen captured powerpoint slideshow, plus you can convey a better message. None of the vids are live yet, but it's a great way to write off hair cuts and clothes :)

There is a new method, can't remember where it was posted though. The only problem is no cookie is saved so unless they buy the first time they wont buy. Also some publishers get mad because a lot of people missell which leads to refunds and chargebacks.

    I posted two solutions above.

I know for a fact the 2nd works because I use it.

It is not necessary to hide your referrer for CB products. Unless you are doing some really shady spamming. Its not like a CPA offer, if they buy then you get paid - otherwise not. Traffic sources don't really matter and video marketing is not in the least a BH tactic.
