My refund rate just moved up to 20%. Could my account be banned for this? Anyone else with the same problem? I'm earning through youtube videos.

Nope, I don't think so, but your account status might get flagged, so better stay under radar..

After you go past 20%, you are in danger level, which means that you have problems which needs to be corrected immediately. When you go past 99% it's time to really worry about it. They will cancel your account unless you take action..

So, nothing to worry about even if you have 20% refund rate.

    What is your niche?
Some niches like 'how to make money online' have always big refund rate.
    No worries for now.

A few weeks ago, they modified their algorithm, which made a lot of people's ratings go out of control. I personally went from green to red literally overnight, now slowly trending down and orange. I have not yet heard about anyone being banned because of their color rating, but it's entirely possible we could wake up one day and see mass bannings. Maybe in a week, maybe in two years. Only Clickbank know how great the threat is, and I'm not sure even they know.

My refund rate was at 23+ % for over a month and nothing happened. It's now down to 19% but funny thing is it was 19.00% a few days ago and after 4 more sales and zero refunds it went up to 19.12%. Makes no sense.

They count the rates in daily basis I guess. Some times my refund rate goes higher and a few days later they come down again...

I think that the refund rate is also calculated on the product you sold in last few days.
If this particular product has let's say 20% refund rate and you only have 15% in your account, I guess that your overall refund rate will bump a bit for a few days but then fall down again.

Yes, sorry for not being clear enough. They count the last few sales (that has been made in a particular span of time). Once that timespan passes, the refund rate decreases again.

The refund rate is calculated based on recent refunds (2 months or so), lifetime refunds, and I assume they also throw in product refunds (for all affiliates) and possibly category/niche and global performance as well. Mix all of that together, and you get an algorithm nobody understands, like what Google does.
