Very, very true. And why ultimately it's far better to sell your own product.
i know a few great sales pages if you're interested and need help . they convert great too, at least for me
Make your own product. You get to design the sales page and your payouts will be higher than being somebodies affiliate, plus you will have affiliates get sales for you too. It's a win-win-win situation..
Some of you guys have the ability to complicate the simplest of things. It's truly unbelievable. I forward my domains directly to CB sales pages and do quite well. On average I convert at about 1:38 Hops (and that's for ALL campaigns). I don't use landing pgs., squidoo or any of that crap. I focus on traffic to my hoplink, and that's it. I know for a fact that if I get 35-40 hops then i have another sale. End of story. KNOW YOUR NUMBERS!!!
One more thing. I take the CB products w/ the highest gravity and put all my efforts into promoting them. WHY? Because they're already selling. Saturation on the internet is a myth. It doesn't exist. There are to many markets for any niche to be saturated...at least at this point in time, So stop analyzing everything to death and get to work.
I do this allthe time and it ok with CB not a problem , you just have to take out the _ in the link and there you go any questions just ask
i think it would be interesting for newbies to not only learn the numbers of the results, but what it takes to actually get to the conversion number; just throwing this out there. it takes me about 3 days to test a new campaign and get a feel for the right conversion rate, what about you ?
I cut my losses with clickbank a while ago and start promoting CPA offers. I am absolutely a changed man and convinced that Clickbank should really be called SHITBANK!
I partially agree with you but they set the sales page so that they can sell their product only. their main intention is to make the customer believe that the product is very useful for them. however not all product sales page are horrible as you said.
I haven't read this whole thing, but you can pretty easily just link directly to the checkout page. http://www.blippitt.com/secret-clickbank-code-bypass-merchants-sales-page.
I do this all the time.
NOTE: For added fun, you can also follow http://www.blippitt.com/instant-clickbank-affiliate-sale-notification to have Clickbank e-mail you whenever you make a sale.
Now...has anyone noticed that the new hop links look like this?
How do you direct link that?
At the very bottom of the popup there well be instructions on how to fix it.
These are my EXACT #'s for the last 24 hours (for only 1 CB campaign). 73 hops and 2 sales at a $33 commission each. No landing pgs., squidoo lens or anything else. Just traffic to my forwarded domain.
Find a product that's already selling and send targeted traffic to it. Simple.
So you guys are using PPC for your CB marketing campaigns? 1:38 is a great ratio.
It's not PPC. It's FREE traffic. That $66 in commission is all profit. But remember...It's TARGETED traffic
Gun shy nailed it.
You can either pay for traffic or you can figure out how to get it for free. Personally, I like "free"...higher profit margin.
I don't really screw around with landing pages either...straight to hoplink or checkout page is the way to go.
Which popup? Normally if that link worked it would take you directly to a sales page.
Typically, when you send traffic to a CB product, the default merchant's salesletter page almost always ends up as the landing or destination page.
Would anyone know how I can route traffic to another one of the merchant's pages while still preserving my affiliate id in the hoplink ?
In other words, I want my hoplink e.g. myaffid.product.hop.clickbank.net to route to
hxxp://merchantsproduct.com/PagetoShow.htm instead of the usual or default
(P.S. I did try to add the end part of the desired page to my hoplink like so:
however, I still ended up on the default/main salesletter page anyways, instead of the page I wanted).
Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated.

This is exactly what I've been trying to figure out and so far all I could find were cloaking tools like Affiliate Cloner and Cloaker Buzz (the video below makes the redirecting to certain pages look super easy, but I don't recall him mentioning anything about dropping cookies so I'm not sure how it works).
Can't post URLS yet, so add the .com where the * is
yea i have to agree with that, i havent came across a sales page yet that didn't suck total ass. but anyways if you thing you can do a better job at making one contact the person that owns the page and give him/her some tips or ideas. you never know, that might work.
