Clickbank Product-Affiliates questions

I am thinking to start of clickbank , basically i want to ask a couple of questions and hopefully bhw members could answer them for me.Lets say i list a product on clickbank , can i also start off the affiliate program and earn from affiliates sales of my product.Secondly , how exactly the % comission of affiliates sales on clickbank is calculated and how to get it maxed up , i have heard of 50% and even 75% affiliates comission.

Clickbank is a great place to list your product to get affiliate promotion. However, you have to consider why affiliates would choose to promote your product over another in the same niche? Many products on Clickbank aren't making sales and have no affiliates promoting them at all. I suggest you look at a top selling product and view their affiliate section. This is the kind of support and resources you should provide affiliates. It's always something I look at when deciding what products to promote.

I believe affiliates should get 60% and above commission and you'll notice most of the top selling ones are 60-75%. This is because the affiliate has to do the work of building sites, building links and driving traffic to your sales page so they should be rewarded proportionately. If you're considering doing 50% commission or less you'll put off a lot of affiliates instantly, unless of course it's a high end product that sells for $xxx and has proven sales.
