    Hi guys
Just got this email from Clickbank. Looks like they are stopping promoting movie download sites:-

As the leading retailer of digital products, ClickBank prides
itself on offering its customers the latest and best digital products
available. Due to the ever changing status of technology and the law,
ClickBank monitors the products offered through its services. As part
of this process, ClickBank is releasing a revised "Client Contract"
today, March 10, 2009. This Client Contract, and other related
documents, will restate and refine ClickBank's commitment to quality
products, excellent customer service and compliance with all applicable
    laws.

During the course of preparing its new Client Contract,
ClickBank decided to add to its existing list of Prohibited Products
any products that, in our sole judgment, encourage the unlawful
transfer of copyrighted media, such as music, movies, videos, and games
(typically known as "P2P" products). ClickBank has determined that at
least one of the products contained within the account(s) referenced
above that you promote offers such services.

Accordingly, please be advised that effective noon, April 9,
2009 (U.S. Mountain Daylight Time), ClickBank will no longer allow
transactions involving such products. Because ClickBank values its
relationship with its affiliates, we are providing you with advance
notice of this prohibition so that you may take appropriate steps to
move your existing promotons and advertisments to other product niches.

If you have questions or concerns about this decision or if you
need assistance, you may contact us at legal@clickbank.com.

I was just going to start a thread about this. What the hell is going on over there at CB. This is going to hurt everyone, I'm just hoping the p2p products move to a network where they have better tracking and will still offer 75% commission.

It's not only the movie downloads, but everything p2p. Wii downloads is also listed in my email along with plenty others. This might cause clickbank to start going belly up. The sales that are being generated though the p2p products is almost impossible to comprehend.

this will hurt some and i dont like because i market some of those sites, but i understand their reason for doing it. they have to cover their ass to keep from being sued and losing big bucks. someone must have put some heat on them about promoting the distribution of copyrighted material.

Whats left for promotion of movies? What graboid and there $0.70 per install. Lol! Damn this has me worried, I make a lot of money with p2p products. I also agree with mwari23, someone had to put the heat on CB. I don't see them doing this for any other reason. There was just to much money being made for them to do this.

I am hearing all over the place that many suspect CB is skimming $ some how.
Some have claimed to have run test that prove CB is NOT giving credit for all sales to affiliates.
The suspicion is CB after a certain # of sales but, not in a way that is consistent.
Not me saying just heard this on several forums.
    Time for a new player.

Yeah If you seen my accounts you would without a doubt see the shaving that has been going on. One of my accounts has 7230 unique visitors a day all targeted and for 3 days straight I had 0 sales after receiving 30 or more sales a day. Now for the last 6 days it cuts off on the same number amount of $67.

It's got real bad about a month ago. This account hasn't been this low since a year ago when I only had 300 uniques a day. I have been reading a lot of people are pissed of about the shaving thats going on.

I stopped promoting these after I had a lawyer representing Microsoft contact us about the number of Zune domains we had. We sold them 10 domains and promised not to make any more with the term Zune in it...so far I have not created another Zune domain...lol

We went from 30K in sales down to 8K in that market....had 2 adwords accts closed for promoting those products so we got out last year.

Too bad to....we even had our own product on CB at one time (after the skimming started)

IMO it's time to start researching a new niche

Clickbank has also changes some more of their terms and conditions at the same time... kinda a cover up in my eyes

Im thinking its going to be about 'saying bad things about CB can cause your payment not to be sent'. Which is what most other companies have now.

There are a few but really none that compare to those found at clickbank. I have been looking for replacements for a lot of my niches for a while. I say it's best to wait a couple of weeks and see what networks the publishers on CB is going to go with. Plimus, paydot and e-junkie is where I would say they are most likely to move to.

Well it seems that this is the perfect time to start publishing. Imagine how many affiliates are going to be in search of replacement products on other networks. We all know the movie downloads don't host or even index any of the movies. They simply have some pdf files explaining how to use a torrent site, then link their so called "members" to free services around the net.

So really how hard is it to create a clone of the movie downloads and market it to affiliates on other networks. It's as simple as going to BHW, DP, Warrior forum and the like, and talking about a replacement for the The Movie Downloads.

If the landing page is right you can offer affiliates 50% commission and they would still be eager to promote it.

This is what ive done. I just put up a sales page, added a members area full of instructions and bam..Im a publisher. The trouble is that i offered a few different movie products from clickbank and i could just change to a better selling one..

What we need to do is find out where all these products are gonna go and sign up with that network.
