Clickbank: 450 hop counts=> 0 sales

    I spend all my budget promoting that one particular product on Clickbank, got around 450 hop counts(Thru Adwords) but 0 sales.
    I chose this product because the advertiser has his own inbuilt funnel page(so i don't have to go thru the pain of making my own squeeze page).
    But even after getting 450 targetted audience, to this inbuilt funnel page, all i made is $2.50(for all the money i spent).
    Is it just a hard luck?
    Or, is there something wrong with Adwords+Clickbank?
    Is it normal to get such results? Shud i move on to next thing?

    March is bad to me. Sometimes I also got 400 hops without any sales. I don't know why. It is very weird.

    Few days ago.. Sunday to be Precise, I got just around 84 hops from my blog traffic and made sales of $6.75 worth $77.

    Since then I've increased the traffic and hops I sent to CB products that I'm promoting and no sales... Also weird :(

    seriously? are you new to clickbank? just bidding on keywords, and hoping to get some sales, think about this right now almost hundreds/thousends may be a lots of people doing the same same, so do something better to steal that sale from them.

    Very normal for direct linking, or for any type of marketing for that matter, I was making like $30 per 100 hops last year, now the same product converts 10 times less and gets a sale for every 1,200 hops I'd say, have to change the product but I haven't gotten around to it. Huge volume + good presell (seems like you're an authority and you recommend the product) + targeted traffic + the right product = money. You can't just stick affiliate links out there and hope to make a lot of money, it's not 2006 anymore. The top guys who make all of the money already have the channels for traffic and they spend their time split testing different products/LP, working hard on generating a traffic towards a specific product is an uphill battle, there's too many people who want a piece of the pie.

    With mainstream channel ad buys you are also competing with much more profitable businesses - if you're promoting a $50 weight loss ebook you have to outbid the ads that promote a wellness center, which costs $20k, or a surgery that costs $10k, so you can rarely get a direct linking campaign profitable and it will be temprary.

    And you still continue to promote that product? Do you use direct linking?

    i think on average pros recommend to send 1000 hops before you change product. You should contact the vendor and ask them why this is happening. If they don't reply ditch them and move one. Also if this is your first try then you will have to tweak the entire process to make sales. If it was that easy then everyone would be getting results.

    If anybody will share some of his favorite clickbank promotion strategies with us that doesn't require ad spend, It will be very nice.
