How did this guy get a clickable URL in his description?
In the description? You just type it in...
Simply posting it there.....
What you CAN'T do is use html in order to get a link with your desired anchor text.
When I type in the full URL to my website it's not clickable.
Edit: I just double checked and my URL's are clickable now. Very strange. Does it take a while before the link becomes active?
no, right away.. i think you have to use http....... http://www.yourdOmain.com
They are not clickable in your "my videos page", but are clickable in viewing it.
yes we can click in the video itself
Try Youtube annotations, here's a HowTo video.
To click just put demonstrating full URL with hxxp:// eg hxxp://www . google.com. Do not start with www link. Never try to put html tags, it will not work. If your URL is long to put in the description of YouTube, using bit.ly to make your URL short. Other important information is that when you put your address in the description, you can not click just after the release, wait at least seven hours after setting URL, after seven hours of your URL you can click on a automatically. Once again, I'd say put your full address starting with hxxp:// to make your link.
omg.. i bump old tread.. sorrry.. come from search result..:lock1:
Oh man come on - GOOGLE.COM
I find it irritating that such simple answers get answered on here - when seriously stuff like this is so much easier to figure out quickly with a ggl search. But serious more complex stuff gets no response at all...
In the world of digital information and therefore in the world of SEO, methods and rules change very fast so I'm actually glad I found a recent post about URLs in youtube thx
I have my url in all my videos on YouTube. Not only this, but I put the URL at the beginning of the description, so I get backlinks (reported in Google webmasters tools) when the videos get indexed or scraped by some site which steals only the beginning of the description. Win-Win situation.
haha ar you for real
