Wow! Never been in the lounge before. :D I like it!

I had a quick question, and I thought I'd throw it past you guys.

I'm big into cigars, and one of the things I'm going to do for my smoking room in my home is turn a bunch of my old cigar boxes into ashtrays.

Only problem? Hot ash and such would damage the insides of the box over time.

What I'd like to know is, is there something I can use to coat the insides of the boxes to make them burn-retardant?

    I appreciate it!

Go to any company doing Iron-Works in your area - let them make you a box of stainless steel (brushed maybe - inside of course) that fits inside your old boxes (let them weld the box from the inside which looks better) and your done.

Hmm ... I'm not sure where any local iron works businesses are. Initially, I was thinking more along the lines of a ceramic coating or something. Do you think that would not work?

Look for Hazen & Associates flame retardant clear spray. Should work decently.

Good point BTB. I guess I forgot I already had a huge cigar room. Damn it would be nice to have one in the house though.

Trust me. It is nice. :D

I've been on a Gurkha Assassin kick lately, and the box is kick-ASS. I wanna use it to ash.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll be looking that stuff up.
