IMO all those YEAS should have their details including their web history open to all via the Internet. I wonder who'd be shouting YEAS then...

Best way to protest it is to boycott the United States, one way Im going to do it is to buy a local business here fire the local workers and outsource the work overseas. Then the extra profits I make, I'll invest it into government bonds of a rival nation such as Russia.

I actually never understood what CISPA actually represents. Does it mean that feds can access your browsing history anytime they want? And is this bill now automatically approved and bound to up in effect soon?

Russia is worse in that sense, mate.

    Just check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_Internet_blacklist

While the intentions look good on the surface, e.q. they're against child pornography, advocacy of drugs, suicide advocacy, etc. In reality, whoever manages that list is not a person you can call adequate. Because very often innocent wikipedia articles/suicide humor end up being blacklisted. And this is just the beginning (it exists for about half year).

But at least Russia isn't trying to rip off people with their tax rates.

No, it's US only. It does not apply outside of it ... yet.

I wonder how many companies/government agencies are going to have their websites ddos'd and defaced by anonymous now? Yet they could easily work to crush this bill by destroying those companies by creating rivals that do not keep or share data and help get the public behind their companies.

The problem is most anti cispa groups and people aren't as profit driven as the pro cispa groups, thats why this bill passed in the house.

Yeah, well tax is a different story. If you can pay tax in Russia and live in US/Europe its a good setup.
Living in Russia, especially when you have kids, is not the best choice. As they compensate their low tax with high crime rate, weak justice system and bad education.

From what I heard from Fight For The Future "supposedly" it is supposed to be veto'd by the president. But I highly doubt BO will do it
