I too heard this on the radio driving to school, and was like, "wait what?" I never though the recession would hit so hard as to bankrupt a huge chain like that. Is there really liquidation deals? If so, I better get going!

Yeah right! We really need big government selling TVs and other crap! Why should I pay for a company (and it's junk) that was run by poor management? Get a grip!

"How much will merchandise be marked down, and can customers negotiate prices for the merchandise?

    * There will be clearance pricing, but specific discounts are not being announced. All sale prices are at the discretion of the liquidator. Prices are non-negotiable and all adjustments must be approved by the liquidator's on-site managers."

Damn, I'm going first thing in the morning :D When do you think they open?

I regret at the momment that i don't live in the USA. One of the hottest countries to get rich at the momment. Buying undervalued houses, undervalued merchandise, undervalued shares in companies....

They're not the only ones....Macys, Office Depot, Sears, Mervins and more

    money.aol.com/special/retail-stores-closing-doors

There's another article somewhere with an even bigger list, but I can't seem to find it now.

Seriously, think about the warranties and guarantees on any stuff you buy. NO RETURNS. Where do you take it if it craps out? :(

You obviously do no research. Warranties will be handled by a 3rd party and there is a 14 day exchange/return policy.

Circuit City has been struggling for a while now, recession or no recession, it's just not a very well run company.

3rd part Warranties take forever! You can send your new computer away to war and see it sooner. I'd say don't keep the stuff just flip it and go buy stuff you can get a warranty that works. :)

They have been "going out of business" for like 3-4 months now and have had guys standing on corners with signs to get people into their stores....and their prices are CRAP! Hopefully it's better for buyers now, but the prices have been like 10-20% off...they're a joke!

Office depot did the same thing a while back with "super liquidation" prices.. To be honest they were more on the same scale as newegg pricing.. The only thing you will see after markup value that low, will be offbrand stuff..

    80-90%?
