For a little extra christmas money, im going to be venturing into ppd with the usual game hacks/keygen type niches. I want to keep costs low so I was going to be setting up the landing pages on blogger (or some other web.20 site).

Since I mostly do SEO, I wont be driving traffic to the LP's via youtube like everyone else seems to be doing. I have had quite alot of experience ranking my own sites with the 'churn and burn' method, but never tried to do it with a blogger blog.

Does anyone have any experience with doing it? Did they rank or did they get deleted?

The only reason im asking is that after reading a few threads about ranking blogger sites, im getting mixed messages about people getting there pages removed before they had chance to bank because of too many inbound links/high link velocity

I would rank them normally, but this is the fastest method I know to get ranked and christmas is just around the corner

Risky... it could get deleted at any point.

Why not just rank your own subdomain or domain?

Because of the amount of keywords/niches that I will be targeting, buying domains for them all would get a little costly. Plus I have no idea if some of the keywords would give me a good ROI.

If I used subdomains, once they get penalized, Would it affect all subdomains that are under the same root domain? Or are they treated as separate domains?

blogger ranks very fast and blogger not deletes blogs fast.

one of my illegal movies blog is still up (it's one 1 year old)

your blogger blog will not get deleted easily , but if you will do some serious illegal things then your blog will get delete but not before 1 month.

With blogger I would have to agree with Prab1996. Unless it is something highly illegal you can expect your
blog to be up for awhile so you can bank.

Google treats subdomains as independant domains, though Im not exactly sure how google manages the penalisations on subdomains.

wow i was going to do something similar but using a domain as landing page. I'm gonna create some blogs spam them and redirect them to the main site, do you think that could work?

Why not buy a domain , and create several sub-domains on them . I too am thinking of getting into this PPD thing . I tought this would be better than a blog on other service , plus I get to install Share locker and other scripts and have full control over it.

Hey, I'm about to start doing some of this myself. Do you guys think it's better to go for a blogger site or wordpress?

I have a lot of Bloggers ranking and none have been deleted. These are not PPD or anything like that though so I can't say that those will be okay. I normally tell people to host their own to be safer but in this case I can say Blogger works but it's the holidays coming up so why rank PPD sites when you can rank something more profitable ;)

^^ Try Blogger first. Like I said above it's always better to host yourself but if you make sites that you can afford to lose and are just doing churn/burn then Blogger works perfectly fine.

Google prefers their own properties, so Blogger gets a boost. Wordpress is fine, but it takes a little longer to rank.

In the past days I've seen churn and burn of shortened URL's. This works every so often. The guy I saw is going at it really hard and managed to rank for some reasonable terms.

Tumblr would be the worst option right now, do Blogger.

It doesn't really matter if you do it that way or not. He might just be trying to disguise some of his backlink profile. Those shortened url sites will 301 to the site but they also typically don't let you change the redirect once its made. It would be handy if they let you change the redirect at anytime.

    Ok noob question time.

Did you create your blog using your own ip address? If so what if google sees what you are doing and report you? Could land in hot water for providing illegal movies right?
