    Hi guys,
I have a nice desktop app.
    I monetize it with Amonetize.
As you know Chrome is blocking all Amonetize and other PPI networks.
Is there a way to get around this?
If not, do you know a better way to monetize your desktop app without getting blocked by Chrome/other browsers and Anti Virus?
    Thanks!

One method of getting around something like this is completely overwriting the chrome installation (most straightforward solution). Haven't bothered looking into this yet since I no longer work with browser extensions (I developed a silent extension installer that uses a "unique" method to install that might still work, so might verify later). Eventually, PPI networks will find workarounds (that will hopefully be more realistic than the one I suggested).

It's only a question of time till all the anti virus programs block the installers and then the CR/ earning will drop, look at zangocash a.s.o. a few years ago - it's funny: A few years ago everyone was using PPI, then PPD/ content locking came and everyone switched and now.. :D

Ok, today I looked at my aMonetize stats and they dropped near zero.
Chrome blocks it. Will try to make rar sfx with silent install that unpacks installer in temp folder and runs it.
Don't know how antivirus will react tho..
If nothing works, will have to switch to RevenYou.

Try making a .zip (not everybody can open .rar) and upload that, but keep in mind that this might slightly lower the CR though. After all we aim at people with little to no knowledge of computers.

Get your file crypted and your problem will be solved. It's as simple as that.

Amonetize recently changed their download server, and if you create a new download url from their new domain then Chrome won't block the file. Kinda sucks to change all your urls if you've got a few.

Hey guys, I can provide you the solution but only on rev-share model, not PPI.
we do JS monetization for browser extensions, add-ons and toolbars.
It injects different ad formats into web pages and don't violate google policy.
If you don't have your own extension, but you have installs source, in this case we can develop extension for you and integrate our monetization solution. You'll distribute your extension and get revenue from your active installs.
If it sounds good for you, please add me in skype: daniel-uresko,
also if you have any questions or doubts - feel free to ask.
    Cheers

    Well put. ..

Chrome sent out the warning last month, its got the data to know (via chrome and vtotal) who is bypassing the chrome store, and/or putting on stuff that chrome sees no value in (ad injection, default search swaps, etc.). Your going to see more of this coming. They are not only shutting down the extensions but also blocking the 'website' that is caught distributing it. You can crypt it if you want, although when they see a lot of junk installs from website A, they will block that site regardless of what the files is or isn't. There are ways around this, but Hyacin is right, here comes the hammer.

Crypt doesn't help. Since your first crypt AVs will open hunting on your .exe. Another thing - morphing.

Crypting doesn't work for another reason unfortunately. The installer, after being crypted, simply does not work. And even if it did, you would have to constantly recrypt it every few days because of people scanning your files on distributing platforms such as virustotal. Not sure if amonetize of revenyou would be ok with this also...

Man the amount of stupid posts in this thread...
Stop posting random comments like "Use firefox etc." you don't know shit what this thread is about.
+ the thread is kinda old now. He was probably looking for a fast solution.

RevenYou is the best for this (anti-virus don't show viruses). You still have to .zip the file. That's just how it is with every ppi company.

Some months have gone by now.. can anyone confirm how Amonetize and RevenYou are doing in terms of AV hits, Chrome blocks and overall stats? I need to switch. Thanks!
