When do you celebrate? In Sweden we do it today (christmas eve) and I know americans do it tomorrow. Which one is more common?

We celebrate Christmas on Christmas Day, but growing up we actually always opened all but one of our gifts on Xmas eve night. Then the one "big" gift from good ol' Santa was opened on Xmas morning.

Since being married we took on the Wife's tradition of opening everything Xmas morning :(

In America, I celebrate more on Christmas Day.

When we were kids, we used to open one present on Christmas Eve but that has vanished.

We always celebrate on Christmas day. If there are multiple events, then it is common to also do something the evening of Christmas Eve.

Since Christmas Eve is on a Saturday this week, less people will work but when it is during the week, it is common for people to work until 12/5PM therefore dinners are later in the day.

Merry Christmas to all... and to all a good night.

there shouldn't be any kinda racism issue for this sacred celebration at least, Christ wasnt born separately for swedens and for americans.. dats da universal day of his birth and we all should join hands together and lets all be one for this sacred celebration :)
