Generally speaking, ICO tokens need to serve an innovative purpose, other than simply being yet another BTC competitor, in order for me to give a damn. With that said, the fact that Bram Cohen is behind this project is enough to earn it a spot on my radar. I am only creating this thread to raise awareness and, at the moment, I don't have much to add to the discussion myself. I'm confident that you are all capable of conducting your own research.

Technical paper can be found at https://chia.network/

Would love to hear what you all think about this project :)

Nope. How many currencies coin do we really need?
Blockchain space aready jammed pack with currencies coin though.

You should try deeponion currencies, at least it’s unique currencies since it using tor network for total privacy, support smart contract, deepsend, deepvault, quicksend, vote and many more function to come.

This is the next currency that we need. Not another typical coin with single function.

In a general sense, I 100% agree. The only reason the project piqued my interest is the fact that Bram Cohen is behind it. I think it's something worth keeping an eye on but to each their own.

It is interesting seeing as it’s created by Bram, but even so the ico space is becoming so saturated.

I for one am disappointed that Chia, Bram Cohen's ICO, has nothing to do with P2P networking. I mean, he's the current CSO of BitTorrent and actually has a solid reputation in the P2P space  I agree about the saturated ICO space, which is why I'm having a hard time forming an opinion about this project. Anyway, the lord of altcoins on BHW seemingly disapproved so I suppose it must be a shitcoin.

Sorry guys but I had to necro-bump this thread for 3 particular reasons -

  1. My stupid comment from 2017 "the ico space is becoming so saturated" lol. Little did I know how things would turn out!!
  2. Someone calling me (I think) the "lord of altcoins on BHW" lol totally not accurate but I like it nonetheless!
  3. This coin has once again come onto my radar and I want to know what you guys think about it right now?

Pretty sure he was referring @PinguSpy there xD. Pingu had a huge thread about altcoins back in 2017.
Please don't ban me
2017 is pretty crazier bull run.
On that time the pump and dump coin makes more sense than current shiitty dogs coin.
It based on technology fundamental.
Onion $0.20 > $20.00
Neblio $0.50 > $50.00

Sometimes I feels like the whales or pump and dump admin group are in this section, pumping every coin that I have mentioned.
Once the bull run end, most of the project died.

Similar thing gonna happen with the current bull run.
The bear is near, be prepare.
Cash out when the market is greed.

The coins we considered as pump and dumps back in 2017 are considered as serious projects nowadays. Which is why I was a little late on jumping on the train with these shitcoins as I couldn't wrap my head around why they were doing so good. Did you gamble with these shitcoins as well?

I remember Neblio touching $50! It was crazy! I think you crossed $1M net with it? I had gotten in at ~$35 price and that is when the bull run came to an end. Still holding all of them xD

Never got to see another alt coins thread from you after 2017... Too busy counting all the $$$ I assume :D

Thanks for the heads up about the bear mate! Hope to see more posts from you!
