I have never had food poisoning until today and I have got to say that I have never felt so sick in my entire life! You literally feel like death!

It also make you really appreciate your health and that some people are in this kind of pain every single day of their life! I was on the toilet throwing up and wondering if I could live in this state of feeling like shit for years and just thinking that this is only a few days and people feel live like this day in and day out. Really makes you realize how much of a pussy we really are :)

Don't take your health for granted. Feeling good everyday can be a thing we overlook and until something tragic happens, we realize how good we have it. Okay, back to the cave

This is my life with crohn's disease. Most of the time I just hope I live long enough to see my kids get married. Then take me out of this shit.

Thanks. You get used to it I guess. It is my personal opinion that everyone will have their own trials and tribulations throughout life. This is mine.

I went through that every day for 4-1/2 months straight when I was pregnant...be happy you aren't a girl. I remember specifically 2 times after eating spaghetti and a crunchy peanut butter sandwich. I almost suffocated to death.

    Probably TMI. :nana:

Yes I do know that feeling. I have perm. nerve damage from a spine surgery gone wrong. The pain clinic has me on Lortab 10 three times a day and I hate taking that crap.

Wow that sucks for you guys (several of you) in this thread with your individual problems. Really puts it into perspective for me, that I should probably be a bit more greatful than I am now.

Hope everyone above who has any problems can perhaps some day (soon) find some type of solution or relief. Can't say I am able to relate to any of the problems, but chronic pain (as I understand it, this means 24/7) would really, really suck.

Maybe there are some 'natural' ways you guys can explore if our western medicine isnt doing too much to terminate the problem.

In either case, Merry Christmas to everyone and hopefully we can all enjoy the day (when it arrives).

OP, I see where you are coming from. Food poisoning can make you feel pretty pathetic. But then, whey you recover, you certainly enjoy life a lot more and don't take simple things for granted. It has happened to me twice in the past four years or so and it was the worst I have suffered in terms of health.

Funnily, I knew that something was not right with the food as I was eating it, on both the previous occasions. Yet, I finished off the food and suffered the next day.

I guess the moral of the story is -

Go with your GUT instinct - pun intended :)
