I want to create FB ads targeting users of 3 particular FB groups.. and to do that as cheap as possible

Maybe this should work:
Add video to your Facebook page, something related to your audience and hide it from your page. You don't want this video to be watched by people who like your page.
After you're done doing this share this video in these groups which you want to target.
Next, create a custom audience - video views of that video.
This way you'll have an audience of people who are in these groups.

Nice trick. I was doing the same thing using pictures, no big deal. But with a video it's another story.
Vids have higher engagement in facebook.

Thanks! Yeah, I first started with pictures as well but soon realised that videos work better
