What do you think guys of changing the topic of a website after only one month of backlinking? I got a super domain last month and built 500 good backlinks to it (keyword moved to 3rd page) but now am no longer interested in the topic and i want to update the website with something else and rank for the new keyword quickly. Any thoughts? Will this take more time than expected? Thanks

Will be a great idea because search engines will see that you're not targeting only one topic but new and fresh content and if you follow the same technique while building backlinks it will rank quickly too.

Totally agree with Skyflash, however, depends what you want to do with the old contents, if keep them, or remove them and completely changes them.

If you decide to remove them you should 301 redirect all the old URL to the new one.

I will keep the content but replace the name of the product with a very similar product.

It should rank faster since the product you now want to rank for is related to the previous one and the site has preexisting backlinks.

Yes, you can change the topic of your website if you want to. This shouldn't be a problem for you, particularly if the new product is related.
