I have just transferred a soon to be suspended website to a new domain. Same domain name but with a different extension.

The old domain was powered with PBNs. Can i start pointing these PBNs at the new domain? Or do i treat this domain like a brand new domain thats in the sandbox?

I have registered the domain name change with GWT. Does this mean i will keep my current serp rankings or not?

what do you mean by "soon to be suspended website". Probably you should just do a 301 redirect to a new site.

Nominet are closing it down tomorrow. So I don't think a 301 will work in this case so I need to point all my pbns at this new site.

I would slowly start pointing the new ones. Don't do it all at once. In a every day scenario, you can't just call all those webmasters and say "Hey, I have a new site, link here from now on". Do it over time. Google registered the change so you should be getting their link value anyways even when not pointed right at that moment.

I wouldn't do it all at once, but you should be okay if you slowly start changing your PBN links over to the new domain. Maybe change the links slowly while building new PBN properties to point at your site as well. It will probably take Google some time to even realize the backlinks changed on the PBN articles you're linking from.

Yeah I would like to also reiterate not to do it all at once, it would look very dodgy as that sort of situation would not be likely to happen with a website and a bunch of natural links.
