Hello everyone...I'm kinda in a trouble....

I've had a site with a pretty good index for a keyword.. I mean.getting around 30 visits from SE for that particular keyword... Around a week a go I sent my site to software directories and for the company name I've mentioned another keyword..

Today I was shocked to see that I got around 30 visits for the new keyword but only 2 for the old keyword (in both cases the visits come to main index page)

How I can get the visits for my old keyword back? ..That one was more targeted and productive than this new one ...

I know looks like a dumb question but ..huh.. :confused::D

Are you basing this on one days stats only? I'd give it some more time to see if this is really the case or simply a one day hit spree to the "new" keyword.

What do you mean by "software directories"? Are they different from the common variety URL directories?

Something submitted to a directory a week ago is unlikely to affect your ranking. The problem might be a change in algorithm that has nothing to do with recent submissions. As per the other comment, give it another month before making any conclusions.

^You can submit an ebook/exe file to pad/software directories including a linkback to your site..

Anyways I would give it sometime as well.. As long as your backlink is still in the SE's then I don't see why you should be concerned.. Were both submissions to the software directories?

@MoneyMafia
Go to your Google webmaster tools, select you site and click on "Top search queries"
Then browse All searches - All locations by months, and you will see the keyword you were ranking for. Hope this will help you
