We have reason to believe that our server may have been hacked. We don't think anything was compromised, but just as a precaution, change your passwords asap.

Please change it to something you haven't used before.

Thanx for the heads up - so its not just my sites/blogs/hosting accounts that are being attacked by those ***kers who are lower than a snakes armpit.

Thank goodness for "R0b0f0rm" a life and memory saver.

i can't use my old login... and have the password resent to my email and confirmed it has not been changed. I have my firefox remebered those passwords, so can't be a typo, don't know why it keeps rejecting me. anyone has similar problems?

Try both your old password and your new one. If that doesn't work, PM me and I'll setup something for you manually.

I'm going to bump this, because I think it needs the attention.

People have been reporting strange things happening with their accounts after the DB crash a few days ago, including passwords no longer working and ghost PMs being sent. If you changed your password before the DB crash, it will have reverted back to the password you used beforehand. So, you will need to change it again. Now is a good time.

If you haven't changed your password since the DB crash, please do so now.

You can change it by simply clicking here (shortcut to your UserCP settings), or by clicking userCP > Edit Email and Password.

I still cant get into my account after the crash. Had to create a new one.

Hey wakka,

I made that thread entitled 'Rocketprofit' but my username was 'slixeh'. After the server/site went down I was unable to login and when I tried to recover my password it told me my email address wasn't recognized so I guess the thread was credited to you, somehow lol.

Finally back on these forums after a week of trying to recover password & create a new account but i'm glad to be back!

If you have change a password after clix wrote this thread, and can't log in now, all you have to do is log in with old passwrod, that one you changed after reading this thread at first.

I had same problem, and after I logged in with old password, I got my account back.

I kind of had the same problem. A few days before the latest crash, I changed my password. When it came back up I couldn't log in with my new password so I tried the old one (luckily I kept it) and it worked. So I just changed it again to a new one.

haha, weird. I was thinking it could be a hacker that got banned from bhw and wanted to post cos he was lonely :X

If you made your account in the 1-2 weeks prior to the DB crash, then your account may have been erased. A LOT of accounts were lost and there's nothing we can do to get them back. SO, you'll just have to start all over again.

Note that when you try to re-register your old account, it may tell you that the username you wish to use is already taken, even though the account no longer exists. Just a bug in vBulletin, I guess. Either way, if you'd like to have your old name back, just shoot me a PM and I'll manually change it for you, if it's available.

This is the info that I'm looking for. I joined 2 weeks ago this became my favorite forum after joining. About 1 week ago I can't login using my old password and username. I tried and tried until I decided just to create a new one. I'm glad I'm back
