Hhahahha, that part was the best:
Senator Bruz offered a different view on his support of the bill. "We just spent $250,000 on a web site for the state and it's filled with animated dancing steer with cowboy hats and weird comic book type and it just looks ridiculous...."
250K on a website lol, i like US corruption volumes.
wow, i dont think this is realistic.
I'm not from the US but I hope that this is just some empty story. It's like are you fucking kidding me? Sounds to me like someone is trying to milk out as much as possible from the small people. I didn't read the article as I have no time but from my understanding (thread title) it will be illegal to work as a designer without certification? Damn right bullshit, unless of course the certification is free. If such a thing does go through, it may get propelled into Europe and that would be yet another disaster.
It was an april fools joke from last year.
at the bottom of the article on the website
reminds me of that "email tax" from several years ago!
On the bright side, it might weed out some of the horrible designers/scammers out there.
*Edit* Just read it was an april fools joke. Still interesting though.
Aprils fool or no, I highly doubt it would weed out the horrible designers/scammers, they would still do their stuff. Not to forget a lot of work is outsourced or done from outside of the US.
dammit, I just read the whole thing only to realize it's a spoof. I am going back to work.
The writer has talent. I should hire him to write me some viral pieces and product review pieces...
