I have 18 indexed and 7 not indexed. These are pages just like the other ones but for some reason google didnt want to index them.

I added more content, i wonder if the sitemap will be enough to help them get picked up.

Two of them are made up of content from me writing down the words from youtube videos. At first i was wondering of google got so advanced that they knew duplicate content from video... But then realized two others that are 100% original 500+ words each didn't get indexed at all either.

They arent blocking robots or anything like that as far as i know.

    • Make sure that you have high quality information.
    • Make always fresh and quality contents in all of your pages.
    • Make sure that you have average OBLs in that pages.
    • Make your pages fresh that is frequently updated your blogs because Google loves new pages/blogs.
    • Place the keywords in social networks.
    • In case there had been some crawling errors check those errors and fix them.
    • After you fix all those issues wait for few days Google will take some time to index.

Use fetch as Google on GWT. Interlinking the articles will help as well.

    thanks guys,

outbound links are pretty standard. These are "relevance" silo type pages linking to my "location" pages. 5 location pages and so far built 3 relevance pages linking to each one. For each, there are two that are town specific and one that is niche specific. So outbound links are going to town sites, like historic landmarks, long time established sites/businesses.

no crawl errors for these pages.
no spammy inbound links, just my two pbn's and a few blog comments i did. But these are all going to money pages or home page.
added 400 more words to two of the pages.
added site-wide sidebar links to two others
fetched one as google, this one i didnt do anything else to.
two of these are written by my girlfriend, she took her time and did a nice job. No idea how they could be not good enough.
a couple of them had grey font color, i changed it to black. I fixed a couple pictures, made them bigger and better quality.

one thing that was always odd about this site was that the home page is not first for site:website.com. I had it titled "about" for a while but changed it and the index picked up the new title but its still there below my location pages.

My pbn's linked to one town. This page is now my lowest ranking page. Its been about 3-4 weeks so dont know about google dance at this point. Maybe i have issues with the pbn's

Are these white hat pages? If so, then add your site to GWT and request Google crawl your missing 7 or 8 pages. You'll get indexed within minutes.

I tried this on one of the pages earlier today. Still not indexed, but one of the pages i added another 400 words to did just get indexed.

side note: last week i changed the permalink structures of two other pages and 301 redirected them. One got picked up right away and took over the previous spot. The other didn't even get indexed till today.

I got one indexed today by adding 400 words to it. Maybe that will help. Im trying different solutions for each page so this should end up being a good test

interlinking will help. Just link those pages from other pages and give it a week or 2. These pages will get indexed.

had a sitemap since the beginning, checked it and it is correct.

Thanks, there are a couple things there that stuck out:

Bluehost has been dicking me around pretty bad. Constantly going down a couple weeks ago multiple times a day and telling me to basically deal with it or pay them more to upgrade. I saw random crawl errors on my other sites, could be that these pages were down the first time it tried to crawl.

Not enough pagerank. Havent heard of this before but could be a possibility.

Everything else on there checks out.

    -------------------------------------

Update: so far since the start of this thread,

the one out of two pages i added content to got indexed now.
one out of two of the pages i added a link to the homepage got indexed.
the other one out of the two that i moved and 301 redirected got indexed on its own.
the control one i didnt do anything to is now indexed.

this is of course all from site:website.com, search console is way behind on everything it shows you.
