I am running a Minecraft server on a CentOS VPS. I run the server by first starting a screen session and then running the needed file for the game and close putty. Id say every three days I notice my server is down, so I go open Putty and run "screen -r" and it replies that no screen sessions exist. Why does the screen keep closing? and how do I stop this.

If your VPS gets rebooted, the screen does not survive obviously.

I am not rebooting it, and I am not sure why it would be getting rebooted.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you're running out of memory. What do the server logs say?

What he said; what are your VPS specs? That might help for people that run Minecraft servers.
