Would anyone be interested in a text message spam bot? that could send out 30,000+ text messages per day?

i don't want to program something no one would be interested in.

has anyone ever seen an applacation that does this? and does it well?

Thanks,

yes im interested with this...i hope philippines is supported with this software

would it be free to send out the text messages?? were are the numbers going to be generated from? how anonomous is this? (sp)

its a big sorta problem maybe if these cant be bypassed.... but could be usefull for ringtone sales etc

< very interested also. And no they would not be spam if they opted in

All you would need would be a single opt in and a message with "to opt out dial XXXX" sent with each message

I dont suppose porn lines give you your own affiliate number to ring? Could send out messages like hi mate, im completely stuck and mobile about to die, im stuck at xxx, can you ring me on the office line: affiliate number.

That could have a lot of blackhat potential as the people ringing up are not going to waste any more of there money hanging on to report you. Theres got to be a similar type of thing possible.

these are some good ideas. it could also be used with brring.

I don't think it would work on cellphones outside the US. but i will do some research on that.

if i get more yes votes i'll do it.
otherwise i'm going to look at some other projects i have in mind.

as for being anonymous. yes, that is one of the big plans.

it will work 2 ways, if you choose for it to send the messages anonymous. you won't be able to receave replys.
but if you do it non anonymous, you will get the replys people send you.

I vote yes-definitely cause you give them the opt out and i believe cell phones are not like home phones - they are not so much on the do not call list isn't that right? -

i don't know anything about the laws behind it.
disclamer owns the software world. lol

(FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY).. ha

I wouldnt do it i called the opt out # to get on the donotcall registery and it works for cell phones just as well as home phones, so might not work for all these "Numbers" your generating, besides if you do this your going to get sued big time, not only is it illegal. but it violates The CAN-SPAM Act

unless, like optimus says u allow them to opt out, you have to tell them its advertisement and you have to give them your physical postal address, some of the provisions, but then again even though its illegal won't stop others from doing it. Could always sell it to the chinese.

Good Luck! sounds cool though

I really think you could be asking for it with this. I have my cell phone numbers on the do not call registry and although I would probably just laugh it off if I received text spam others may not. In the US the fines are very hefty also.

well if others want to use the software, they can. at there own risk. - can-spam dosn't aply to everyone ;P

This has definetly already been done.. I beta tested a program similar to this a month or so ago and it works BUT doesn't comply with can spam so it would be illegal! It is a great money maker though

they just introduced a do not call list in Canada, so it would most likely be illegal, unless you keep up to date with CRTC do not call list.

however, calls have been most common to residential lines, since most cell # are not published. txt messaging here has been mostly restricted to providers themselves so there could be potential.

now, how would you get your hands on the numbers?

i dont think the Uk has a do not call list for cell phones so could have potential there.... but im struggling to think of how to get these numbers in the first place.... and in mass quantitys

I was going to have the bot run threw yellowpages.com/google to grab #s, i got it to work lastnight for about 10mins, sent a few hundered messages, then all the proxy servers were banned.... i need to find a new way to send the messages.

main problem is cell phones arn't listed.

Well, since this is anonymous, I would definitely be interested. What kind of prices are you planning to ask for this service?
