    Hello guys,

Could anyone recommend me how to setup categories and tags for a porntube in a way thats best for SEO? I have checked many tubes and all seem to do it differently. I am using wordpress for my tube site. Basically I want users to be able to navigate the site through things like "Asian" "Black" and so on and through things like "Brazzers" "Blacked" etc. So for what to use tags and for what to use categories?

    Thank you very much,

Just copy/paste all the tags and cats you can steal from other tube sites, and make yourself a master list of all the smutty keywords.

Use the list to create an import xml file to import all the keywords as both categories and tags. When you manually create the xml file for import, you can stuff all the descriptions fields for the categories and tags with more (related) smutty keywords.

Import the xml list and instantly grow your Wordpress tube site packed with smutty keywords. When you make posts you already have a large library of cats and tags to choose from. Maybe get an auto tagging plugin that can recognize your content and picks the relative tags for you too.

This will create a nice funnel effect, making your posts strong with relative keywords that matches post titles and content.

The newly created tags and categories can bring you A TON of search traffic on their own. It's a amazing how much traffic you can get with smutty keywords.

    Hey mate,

Thank you for your reply. I am trying to play this as safe as possible and dont want to get penalized by google. Do you think importing keywords as both categories and tags wouldnt get the site penalized by google for duplicate content? If one video was @ f.e. porn.com/tags/blonde and porn.com/category/blonde (or porn.com/blonde)? Do you think this is still safe approach?

    Thank you very much!

Sorry, forgot to clarify. No, don't use the same categories and tags for the same post, not too much anyway.

This method is a way to build your tag and cat library quickly, and to mix and match cats and tags as you post. You can have categories and tags that are the same keyword on your tube site, and when you make their descriptions you can add more spin.

I use Excel and Notepad ++ to build my import xml files, you can use copy/paste and search/replace type operations to make a master xml file with ample spin and variety. I use different spintext applications sometimes too when I build several tube sites at once. Helps keep more randomness too.

Oh I see, thanks for the clarification. I still wonder, is it better to have only category, like this domain.com/blonde (or domain.com/category/blonde) and there show all videos with tag blonde, or have only tags like this domain.com/tags/blonde (and there show all videos tagged with blonde), OR have both domain.com/blonde and domain.com/tags/blonde? Wouldnt that be considered as a duplicate content? Whats your opinion?

    Thanks a lot!

OK, now I see what your asking. Tube sites I build are more along a blog format that I put together to look like a tube site, I'll post a video under a category or two and then tag the post up as needed. I let the individual categories and tags keep the URL structures like the porn.com/category/blonde and porn.com/tag/blonde example.

I don't seem to have any problems doing this, I get a lot of traffic from tags and categories that aren't even assigned to any posts, which is pretty cool.

How you may want to arrange your tube site by category or post would be up to you, the 'Category' is stronger than a 'Tag' so I think if you were to create your categories with a shorter URL (minus the /category/ bit) you could do quite well. Let the tags keep the /tag/ bit in the URL. When you set the descriptions for the tags and categories you can add more spin in there for randomness.
