I have the old stand by's that were popular a few years ago: UD, Senuke, BMD, SB, etc.... but I have a little cash and wanted to see if there were any new tools recently that were worth the money. I stopped buying tools about a year and a half ago... so anything since then that's good is what I'm looking for.

So it looks like something similar to "no hands" thats good to blast your lower tier links, is that about right?

GSA is good, but I'd rather spend money on Social Media tools, as there is direct audience engagement, and Post Panda/Penguin Update, Social Media is the IN thing is SEO.

Not only for lower tier links, you can use it for your main site as well with proper configuration to leave out any low quality links. One good example can be found here. Also don't forget to get CaptchSniper, otherwise GSA will eat out your captcha balance.

I would suggest an automation tool like UBot and ZennoPoster.

GSA is good. I use it for the lower tiers and use Kontent machine for the content and leave it running 24/7. One of the big things about GSA is that it goes out and find sites for you and you can then import these sites into other programs. LinkWheel Bandit is another good one but you need a fairly high spec machine to run it for the full benefit otherwise you end up having to turn the thread count right down. I use mine with CS to save on capture costs as you can easily burn through $30 per of deathbycaptcha credit otherwise. They are bring out another version of LWB soon which should be a big improvement on the current 1. I haven't got it yet but the other 1 on my list if WikiBomber as it isn't very expensive and it creates loads of wiki links pretty quickly. I intend using this for lower tiers with the help of Kontent Machine.

It's all about varying your links. No 1 type of link will do harm but if you hammer wikis only or any other type of link it's bound to do harm...

Don't be scared of any platform.
Be scared of shit sites and lack of platform diversity

"10,000 wiki blast" gets the same potential slappage as "10,000 forum blast" or "10,000 blog comment blast"

WIKI is probably the best of those three as you are using content for context and that much harder to do with forums and small snippets with blog comments.
A good direct link profile is a NATURAL LOOKING ONE

10,000 "anything" blast is a clusterfuck waiting to happen

A good first tier has as much link variation and as many sites with content on as possible.
No such thing as a bad link
Definitely such a thing as a bad link profile

A PR5 d0follow wiki si every bit as good as a PR5 d0follow anything else if the content is good enough. There is no difference (at all)
But if you have done "WIKI blasts" this year - or any other sort of "Blast" for that matter - it's easy to get burnt for lack of platform diversity.

Single platform type blasts = 2011 SEO = RISK

Blasting link creation wise I don't think so especially with all thats been going on in SEO this year.

Invest in a good VA. Invest in good management software (check my sig). Invest in online link index tools for competitor analysis e.g. Majestic.
