Thanks for sharing! There's a lot useful information in your post. I thought women's apparel was most frequently pinned. I don't know if this the case with Pinterest, but Perry Marshall mentioned in an interview that his most successful Facebook campaigns utilized an auto-responder. Do you think the same would apply to Pinterest? Have you tried and auto-responder?

Thanks for the feedback. Women's apparel is huge on Pinterest, that was the first niche I focused on :)
And yes, I am planning on implementing an optin form and sending out newsletters for recipe books and other affiliate offers in the very near future! I'm just working on getting more content up first.

The website you used looks nice and clean. I have a question for you which is slightly off topic.

Have you ever used that kind of website for a PPC program like adwords and got positive ROI? If you have not, do you think it will give a positive ROI for PPC?

No I don't have much experience using PPC. I just started testing out FB advertising but I'm only using a simple landing page.

how do you get people to see your pin to start with? if your pin does not make it to the category wall? unless you already have a lot of followers?

according to what i see, pinterest only shows about 3 pin per minute on a specific category.

ok - i see it shows up under everything.. so i guess you are right - has to be eye catchy.

I've noticed if you wait a few hours between pins you have a better chance of getting on the main category pages.

wow. now my pin does not even show up in Everything? pinterest ghost pins too? anyone has the experience?

interestingly, it appears that if i post something, delete it, and post again, the pin will be ghosted..
