Case Study : Squidoo Lens Ranking.

I just thought since I was testing a few things I could just post it here

First I want to test the ranking of a lens without getting to much traffic to it, pure 5 star ratings only.

I just made a new lens today.

I have just given it 80 manual 5 star ratings, prior to its update, should be in a few hours from now

NOTE: May later try bot, and see if there is a difference.

Later I will also be testing pure traffic, then pure content, to see which has the most effect, on Squidoo ranking.

PREDICTION :

I predict it will be ranked 250, in Entertainment.

NOTE: Varies from topic to topic. For example if I choose video games I would predict it to be about 350.

Other variables you might want to consider

1)How many backlinks externally pointing to each lens and its effect on Search engine as well as squidoo ranking.

2)Using of feeds to make the squidoo auto updated every day.

I am very curious as how much traffic this lense will produce with your manual 5 star ratings. Please keep us updated on that as well

Yes, I would be interested in seeing at least a daily update. I just re-read lewi's thread about squidoo lenses and how is was making some money. I noticed you were also doing very with it too. Good luck with it.

It probably, can but I will test that out later too.

For some reason, it didn't update last night. doesn't matter, waiting on update, the moment I get the info I will let you guys know.

Maybe I will rate it to 100?

I'm really interested to see how this turns out. I've always thought traffic was the most important factor with lense ranking, but I've never really did any tests like this.

That my friend, is because you made a fatal mistake.

Squidoo, as with most other exploited companies closely moniter these forums. Squidoo in particular is cracking down on this right now, and of course has closed in on BHW as a great source of information regarding how,who, etc.. is causing them so many problems.

Its ok, I got a heads up prior to this, but can't remove the image. I uploaded through a random site, as ImageShack is so annoying now, and can't remove image, neither could I edit my post.

Squidoo will never stop me.

dude ive told you many times and given you proof.... now stop like you say you will.... you are putting your clients hard work at risk what else do you need?

He's 15 Lewi, don't think he cares much about his clients. Money in his fake VCC verified PayPal account is all he wants.

I know this was a mistake, but one that couldn't be corrected, as I couldn't change my first post neither could I remove the image. >.<

I learnt and I will continue, this is just a scare. I create my accounts all with different IP's and I have images and a lens for all 100 of them. I rank manually so there is no risks to any of my clients. I lost my lens', that doesn't matter I will build a few more in a day or so.

People that use bots are the ones that are immensely harmed here.

I am still fine.

Losing a lens is no big thing.

It's just a bit unfortunate that I spent $15 on Xcubics bot, to try it out on another lens for this case study, and then not even 1 min after I bought it was put under review.

Luck aint on my side today.

PS: If you are savvy with Squidoo you will now that ratings is not the only way to go up the ranks, many other things, in fact, there is another way almost in par with rankings that can get you up the ranks just as fast.

Don't think I will be releasing anymore info to BHW, to risky.

Will keep it all for myself. I will continue my services but my service will be to get people in the top 100 of their selected niches, and I may give out ratings, but I have to check out some stuff first.

All the best with everyone using squidoo. Don't use bots to often or you will get banned. As for me I have never used a bot, my only mistake was this case study, made public.

You guys need to think before you act, i use the bot to only i do it with a twist to stay under the radar, and i haven't had one lens (client or my own) banned, sure i make less money and it doesnt go that fast and i can't do 100 lenses a day, (if i am lucky i can do 10) but in the end of the day i win.
