So I have this site in a very tough niche, it is a directory site targeting some service in different cities.
My stats so far, 6.5 Months old site, DA - 13 , DR - 2, I have like 6-7 of quality guest post links pointing to homepage, other links are supportive and pillow links.

Current Positions of the site
It ranks for some keywords like service + city in top 100 in some cities, homepage still didnt appear for main keywords.

What I will be doing?
Each day I will be sending 10 visits, split through 4 of my strongest backlinks, for 30 days for the start, and will be monitoring the overall SEO health of the site.
Visitors will do each 3-4 page views, and average 1-2 minutes stay on the site.
Visitors will firstly input some keywords to google, find my backlink on google, visit it and then through hyperlink will visit my site.

Are these real people or bots? From where you get this?
This are real people, private service, I don't even use my microworkers for this purpose, I have a connection to someone who can bring this real visits for reasonable price for me, IDK where he gets it, maybe people in jail visit my site LOL, IDK honestly.

What else is being performed on the site ?
Currently CTR manipulation of 8-9 clicks/day is being performed.

Lets see what this experiment have for us! C'mon join the discussion, together we will rock it!

This is a waste of time because nothing big will happen. Only flunctuations.

Interesting test... never thought of CTR manipulation for linking posts.
We will see what happens.

Do your backlink pages have Analytics installed? If not, how is Google going to see these visits?

I would love to see the result of this test. Good luck

how are you technically setting up visits THROUGH a backlink? its through a url shortener? or spoofing the referer?

You can use bots to direct visits to websites and then it finds the link to your site. It then clicks it and spends time on your website.

You can use bots or people with this.

I'd recommend a few things for better results.
  • Use multiple devices and IPs - if your referrers use same PC/mobile with static IP multiple sites, it won't help much.
  • Prefer chrome browser - Chrome collects user data for website analysis. It'll help you send signals even if your guest post site doesn't have Google analytics.
  • Stick to a region and time zone - If you stick to a city (if the guest post ranks for service+city or something) and active hours instead of doing random clicks, it'll give better signals. You can check your ranking changes in that particular region to verify.

Update. This expereiment started a bit late. I am on 6th day of sending traffic right now. I am testing on 3 websites now (one for global, and 2 sites of my local real estate and car dealership niche).

One of the sites (real estate local niche) has been moonth that it didnt rank for 2 main high traffic keywords, but today I spotted it is back on position 30.

More Updates are coming..

Update. 2 keywords jumped forward 2 positions for car dealership listing website (from 11 to 9). And 2 keywords which my 2nd website was not showing for , for 4-5 months are back on position 35 and 42. What I spotted is the clicked anchor text is the same as keyword. I guess It somehow analyses the anchor (hyperlink text) which was clicked.

More updates to follow.
It's 9th day of traffic today.

Update, today is the 11th day of my link traffic campaign (25-30 visits per day is being sent through 5-6 backlinks)
Noticed some good improvements on my car dealership (car buy/sell ) local website

It now ranks on position 9 (jumped from average 15 to 9) for keyword "car" (in our language), and gained some huge sharp increase in impressions!
Attaching screens of this keyword, its impressions and avg position last 28 days, last 3 months, last 6 months so you grasp the idea of its state.

as far as i can remember organic traffic (& UX signals) has been a part of the page PageRank, which is still part of Google algo for sure,
that's an interesting case study for sure, but the visits/clicks are too low to make a real impact,
keep things rolling, will be waiting for more updates ^^

Curious study!

I'm supporting your view of being moderate with clicks/day, it might help to better understand what really drives ranking up - is it just visits or the metrics increase

Seems that there was a leak in google documents in the last few days online, according to it Chrome traffic might be considered as actual ranking factor for sites.

Maybe you can try asking to your internal microworkers if they can only use Chrome browser while clicking links?

Yes, mahority are using chrome browser by default. The majority of the traffic is mobile, so I had probelms identifying referer for mobile traffic, but seems I found a solution in google analytics.
